Hey, so, uh...you guys want to recap that massive plot twist that got dumped on us?



I didn't really feel qualified to talk and I already had my turn in the interrogation room, so I hung back to listen. And from what I gather...this whole tether and void travel thing is basically creating spirit clones to go off into the void while our bodies stay home?

Please tell me I misheard something, because that's kinda creepy.

T-That's the same thing I was wondering..!

[ It seems that Madoka's thoughts are momentarily distracted from her own talk with the representative, or even the state of her world and the implications of the current news.. because this is something she has been thinking of, but not really voicing a whole lot. So it's surprising - and a little validating - to hear a responsible adult start about it. ]

Why.. has the train never gone to any of our worlds? There are so many people here who have trouble back home.. I've even told the train that. [ A long time ago, sure, but she does remember it. ] But for some reason it never picks any of our worlds as worlds in need of saving, even though the trouble is..

[ .. now she's remember the likely state of her own world.

It makes her expression fall again. ]

That's something I've wondered about myself. It may have something to do with our unstable tethers; getting too close to their origin point could disrupt them in some way. It may also be that we have been back to our home dimensions, just not to planets that we know of; even in my own galaxy where interstellar travel is common, a large portion of the galaxy is still uncharted. Or it may simply be sheer chance that it hasn't happened yet; there are a lot of worlds out there, and only one Voidtrecker Express.

[A lot of theories. No real way to know which- if any- held any water without getting to talk to the train again.]

It would a be a good question to ask the train if we get to speak to it directly again.

In the meantime, though, I can at least explain to you how this sort of process worked in the previous dimensional nexus I was brought to, if you'd like.
