There is now a clothes dryer in the laundry area.

For those unfamiliar, the low setting is for delicate clothing that would otherwise be harmed by high heat and friction; the medium setting should be appropriate for most train-assigned clothing; and the high setting should be reserved for sheets and towels only.

[There's a moment's pause, and then:]

Please do not attempt to ride in it; we would not want anyone to end up in medical.

[If he doesn't issue a warning, someone will try it. He just knows it.]

Fascinating. Though I never quite understood how exactly it is able to generate heat. Is that due to it spinning that causes it?

I see. How does electricity do that? Though to be fair I would ask how it does anything really. It's a pretty amazing thing at the end of the day.
