The more of these dreams I have, the less I feel I understand them. [Selenay sighs. There's definitely something she's missing in all of this, and she feels half-blinded without another Herald to consult, but she needs to work with what she has.

But really, would it be so awful to give her a Gifts teacher or two who would know more than she did about this sort of thing?]

I had a disturbing dream, too. What exactly did you see, Selenay?

Nothing. Nothing but a feeling I didn't much enjoy. Like the world was unraveling.

I think it was unraveling. I saw that world start to crack apart, and there was colored light shooting around me in great rays. People were screaming and crying around me, though I didn't see them. And I felt like I was standing on the edge of an immense cliff and about to fall over it. I think that maybe I did.

[herarrows]

Goddess... Can it never be a clear sunny day with nothing and no one going wrong? [No it can't, and she knows it, but she can't help complaining every now and then, either.]

I wish it could be like that, just a nice day and time to enjoy. But the train doesn't seem to take us to planets like that, unless it's a vacation for us. The mission planets are all strange and troubled places, and that's provided they aren't worlds that are self-destructing or are invaded by some other world that is wreaking the destruction.

[herarrows]

I suppose if it was that easy, we wouldn't be needed. [She can't really argue with that.] Still, if they could be a touch clearer, I'm sure we would all appreciate it.

True, those vacation planets don't need us, the train just thinks we need the break. But we most definitely are needed on the mission planets, as the inhabitants are unable to deal with their problems themselves, and have usually asked for help from any Voidcraft that happen to be in range of their communications networks. Funny, they don't ask for help from the Ministry of Void Travel, they ask for help from rogue Voidcraft like us!

But I agree, the dreams could be clearer, and then we'd know exactly what we were up against. But maybe it's not the train that sends those dreams to us, maybe it's just that some of us are prescient and are going to have dreams that are not entirely clear. Still, the train could warn us of anything it knows about those planets and the dangers of any particular mission.

I don't expect that the train is the one sending us these warnings, and ForeSight is ever a fickle Gift.

No dreams here, just curious.

Count yourself lucky, if you can. I don't know as I would wish these on my enemies.

That bad huh? I was catchin' bits and pieces here and there. What all did ya see?

This time, nothing. Just a feeling. An awful one. Nothing stays consistent. That would be far too simple.

Yeah, it would be. Guess y'all basically get puzzle pieces. What feelin' was it?

Chaos. Like the world was unraveling around me and nothing was going to bring order to it again.

Yeah. Seems like a few of us had those...

More than a few, I'd bet, as it happens each time.

Oh, I know. I've never heard of everyone having the same vision, though.

It can happen, ForeSight being what it is.

Ah, are your visions not normally vague? ( He is used to these sorts of things. A feeling more than specificity. Regardless, this one was concerning to say the least. )

Normally I don't have them. At least, before this train, I'd never seen an actual vision. I more get feelings about things already in place instead of visions of possible futures like other ForeSeers. I suppose I'm still getting used to the idea.

I understand. This, too, is my usual way. Though I do sometimes feel what is yet to come it is more feel than see. ( A pause. If it was a lot for him then he can only assume it was the same for others. ) Do you require anything at this time?

You're kind to ask, but I'll be alright I think. Lady willing, I'll grow accustomed to the damn dreams before too much longer.

Of course. We have not properly met, but I cannot help extend what little I may be able to do for those who have seen such things. I fear something terrible is coming.

I suppose it would sound fatalistic to say that something terrible is always coming, but it certainly feels that way.
