Oh man, am I gonna blow your tiny baby brains out. You know how heterosexual means you like the opposite gender from yourself, and homosexual means you like the same gender? Well, since bi means more than one, bisexual means you like two or more genders! Chicks and dudes and everyone else on the spectrum of hotness, if you want! Doesn't matter as long as they're cute and I'm horny, and like, I'm always kind of horny.

I actually didn't know any of that. I'm not sure I've ever really defined relationships like that, where I'm from? Achilles has Patroclus and Orpheus has Eurydice, that's just who they love. Not sure I've heard of a woman with another woman, but I wouldn't be surprised.

[Then something occurs to him.]

... wait. So if heterosexual means you like "another sex", and homosexual means you like the "same sex"... then don't you mean disexual?

[Because the di- prefix is Greek and it means two, duh!!]

That's fair... it, uh, sounds like you're from a time when people were more casual about that kind of thing.

[He knows his Greek mythology well enough to know those names pretty well, but he's trying not to be weird about that.]

Where I'm from, it's a little bit more of a big deal, probably because it was frowned upon by society for such a long time. It was even against the law in some places, and there's still a lot of rights we don't have that we need to rally for.

[He beams.]

But the people who are supportive will like you no matter what so... hell, disexual would work if that's what you wanna call it!

I didn't know any of that if I am being honest. But I thought that people like each other all the time or people wouldn't have friends right?

[Rapunzel didn't see the two as separate things for a moment. However she does have at least one more question she needed explaining.]

What's horny exactly and why are you always kinda it?

Well, sure, but romance is a pretty different kind of like. You can be friends with just about anyone, but everyone has different tastes on what makes a good partner.

[Which is a pretty mature thing for Rich to say... unlike the rest of what he has to say.]

So then when you're into everyone romantically, you find a lot of people hot. And when that happens, well, you get horny, because you want a trip to bone town!

So you can be friends with anyone but a romantic partner is different in what you like.

[She seemed like she was understanding at least.]

So to know if you like someone romantically you need to find them hot? But not like literally on fire hot. Though...still don't know how that leads to horny or bone town. Sounds like a lot of skeletons are there.

Yeah, exactly! Someone romantic is the person you want to kiss, or hold hands, or like spend the rest of your life with. It's a bit different than just a normal friend.

And it's complicated... [Rich isn't going to try to explain the difference between romantic and sexual attraction, when he's still new to most of this.] But most of the time, yeah, you have to find them attractive. So hot, but yeah, not on fire. And then, uh... 'bone town' was slang. I was trying not to flat out say that people who are attracted to each other can end up having sex.

[He's surprised, honestly. Rapunzel looks his age, or maybe older, but she seems a little uninformed about something most teens talk about.]

[Okay... that seemed to make sense at least. She can at least understand that concept. Has she ever actually seen anyone like that. No. Not at all. Not even on the train, but to her it had never been something she had been actively looking for or wanted.]

Okay, I think I understand. It's not something I ever needed to think about before. But it's good in knowing about, right?

It's definitely important to know about. I mean, for me at least... thinking about it and who I am helped me accept myself a little more. I'd kind of been repressing a good part of it for years...

[No thanks to the other voice in his head besides his own.]

Well I am glad you aren't repressing yourself anymore. I know that cannot be a good thing.

Anything and everything. I have kinda locked away in a tower for nearly 18 years, so I have a lot to learn. I have learned a lot here, but there is always so much more.

it's kinda exciting really.

In a tower? Man, that's awful.

[Here he thought getting locked in his own head for two years was bad enough.]

What exactly are you most interested in learning, then? Something you really wanna do now that you're out of there.

It was, but I'm out now so it's not that bad.

[Although it's really like another version of the tower, but with the occasional you are allowed out and things get added all the time, which is nice.]

As for what I want to learn... Honestly. Nothing jumps from the top of my head

I'm glad you got out of there! It takes a lot of time to figure out what to do with yourself, when you haven't been in control of it for so long. I can kinda relate to that.

[He gives a smile and hoists his guitar.]

Well, I guess if you ever decide you're interested in music, I can sort of be a teacher for that.

I do enjoy music. I play guitar and trying to learn all the instruments in the music carriage.

[She was not at all kidding about that.]

Oh damn, really? We should play guitar together sometime then! Or try our hand at the other instruments, I guess. I know a bit of percussion!

Yeah, I just haven't got my own guitar here yet. But I would love to play together when I can.

Awesome! You should let me know when you have it, then. I'll practice up so I make sure I don't end up embarrassing you.

I would have to say the same honestly. I play but I might not be that great compared to others.

Well, then you're lucky most of the fun comes from just getting to feel the groove with others! No need to compare yourself to anyone else. We're all readin' the same sheet music and plucking the same strings, and that's what matters.

I guess that is what music is all about right? That and expressing yourself.

Yeah, I think so! But I guess I'm not all that philosophical, so it's just my opinion.
