Llama 27 - Video (action if wanted)

[ Lightning comes to in luggage with the resigned practise of a control coach veteran. Knees uncomfortably tight against the canvas lining and zip pressing a line against her thigh, it's familiar. Irritating. The disorientation, the sudden switch from Kamakan to carriage--

She rises. Stumbles to the ICP, the roster appearing the moment she jabs her ticket into the slot. The list of names... isn't that different. The month's the same. She exhales, jaw untensing, and scrolls back up with a flick of her fingers. No dead. Good.

While she's still logged in, she taps Video and then everywhere. A choice she visibly regrets the moment she does it, but no helping it now. Ahem. ]

Twenty-seventh, huh... How're we doing?

[ It's more awkward than she remembers. A glance off-screen-- ] Looks like the gates are up. What else'd I miss? What happened in Kamakan?

[ Look, Inigo did realise Lightning was missing. It was hard not to notice, especially since people were talking about it. But he was really thinking that maybe she reappeared already at some point and just didn't make some big scene out of it - that'd be just like her, after all.

He knows others are already giving her the laydown on the mission, so-- ]

Are you sure you're feeling alright? That was an awfully long time.

Twenty days, more or less. [ She shrugs, unsure how to reassure him. If there's some side-effect from being called to the control coach, she's never been able to figure it out. For all she knows, she's put into crystal stasis and shelved. ] Guess I'm fine... Not like I remember any of it.

[ please, lightning, as if there's ever any reassuring inigo ]

Well.. I'm glad to see you return.

[ If not just because he's not entirely convinced the people who walk through the gates on the platforms are actually going home. He doesn't like the idea of her being caught up in Naga-knows-what. ]

And glad that you're fine, though I'm not so sure whether you made the right decision by asking practically the entire train to dump way too much information straight onto you. [ Too much happened on Kamakan!! ] You're going to be stuck at that terminal forever now.

Right. Should've picked a car. [ Too late now, though. She huffs, but really, it isn't too bad to reconnect with more people. The initial surge of fear, echoed through l'Cie and Cosmos warrior and Voidtrecker, that she might wake up and find herself somewhere without a single familiar face, all over again... ]

At least this way they're not trying to hug me. How're you doing?

Ahh, same old, same old.

[ The most nothing-saying answer possible. Thanks, Inigo, for being as open about your mental and emotional state as ever. But there's currently so much he's surpressing that this is the only thing he can bear to say. ]

Mostly wishing they'd pick a sweeter ingredient of the month rather than all this seaweed. I miss the honey from a few months ago so much. Maybe you could've shown back up to a better ingredient if you would've been gone for a few days longer. [ Unless Lightning likes the seaweed..?

She doesn't seem like she'd be super picky about food. Maybe. ]

Uh-huh. [ Same old isn't too great where Inigo is concerned, in her experience. The roll of her shoulder for the seaweed is entirely ambivalent, but she's not up for pursuing more of an answer from him over the network.

Talking about food it is. ] Eat anything for a month straight, it'll get old. Wonder if anyone's asked nicely for a new menu yet.

[ At least here some emotion does slip into Inigo's tone as he speaks on.

Although it's just poutiness, rather than any actual upset or hurt. ]

Seriously, I miss the days when it would just give us a carriage without making us vote for it. It feels like we're never going to get some things because of how slow the poll makes it go. [ Especially now dance is on it!! That's never going to win!! ]
