I would like to ask after the nature of this poll.

Is it a regular occurrence? Is the inquiry intended to be abstract or does it have an specific origin and purpose unknown to those who might have become passengers since the last platform?

He's one of the local scientists - so his work would be more contained. He also forgets to eat, which means I have to run the entire damn train looking for him so he makes sure to eat something.

And no, nutrient paste is not food, I know he's going to argue this.

Can you not just call him on your SCA and remind him to eat?

It's got nutrients but it's not food. It's like a supplement or whatever - we have food, it's not hard to eat something tasty as well as giving you nutrients.

And also you have to take breaks at some point.

The SCA doesn't work like that when we're on the train.

Well then the ICPs should let you call between cars, right? So just call around until you find him. Unless I'm missing something here.

It's a place designed for people to do science in. Like experiments and stuff.

Science is, at its most fundamental level, discovering new things based upon theorizing and testing those theories in a controlled environment. Those tests are called experiments, although the term can broadly be used for any action undertaken with the express purpose of learning what results it will produce.

So, throwing yourself at a horde of various creatures with murderous intent until you eventually succeed is an experiment? As a completely random example.

But I am discovering the unknown! I'm learning the attack patterns, movements, and strengths and weaknesses of various Underworld denizens, as well as what strategies work and what strategies don't to defeat each of them!

I am certain this nutritional paste you speak of is sufficient.

Though I may proffer the additional consideration that a variety in food both in consumption and preparation may offer a fresh perspective to your work you would ordinarily be blinded to.

Yes, I had inferred your father's profession from your statements. Yet it does not answer what you personally seek.

Since you have brought up your needs to travel in search of him, shall I presume your argument is largely to save you time in this search, regardless of other benefits it may or may not provide for the sake of others?

For me, not for them. I'm sure one of the scientist will tell you abut some big project they're working on and only need the space for it.

That's not what I'd get out of it. I'm sure they'd get more out of it than me.

It is considerate that you would think of your father and others. Yet also remember in these circumstances it is important to think beyond the needs of a small group and instead of the community as a whole.

[There is actually a bit of a patient teacher inflection here. Almost like a gentle correction an adult might offer or useful coaching.]

Of course you should vote as your conscience dictates. But it is also worthwhile to reflect on the matter carefully. How many will this choice benefit? Why would it do so? What other problems are present which your choice will not solve. Is there a an option that might solve it? Which would be the best to put resources and energies behind at this time and which may be easier to delay?
