The little dinosaur looking robot with purple lighting is running around in the background of the ICPs view when she has it on, chasing a ball with little dancing emu kicks.]

Hi! I'm Entrapta if I haven't met you yet! I've been doing a lot of research into magic to see what similarities and dissimilarities exist between worlds. So I was going to ask if anyone could do me a favor and allow me to record you. If I find more general similarities it might be able to help us block specific types of hostile attacks, specifically mental ones. [Because their last encounter was so specifically mentally targeted she wants to help in the protection department. But maybe as generalized as possible.]

This includes qi, aether, traditional magic, any sort of energy that can be manipulated by living beings into solid objects, methods for healing, or offensive attacks.

[Claudette moonwalks through the background balancing the ball on her head.]

I also really need to speak with some people that might have experience researching souls attached to items. I want to see if it's possible to re-establish the connection to the original body. It's a relatively new idea to me, but in my world most Princesses are inherently connected to their Runestones. It's a trait that passes down through generations. But our Runestones can be destroyed and we still maintain some of our magic, though not at maximum capacity. I still have powers even though Dryl's stone was destroyed long ago.

[She points to herself with three different locks of hair as if to say, 'Yes, this person with these hair abilities, that's me.']

I've also recently integrated an atmospheric analyzer into Claudette. If you see her on mission and she starts making a siren noise? Then you might need to seek safety. I'll write out a list of the new sounds I've installed.

[Claudette honks in the background. And Entrapta looks exasperated.] They all know you can make that one! I'm talking about the ones you can only make when there's trouble.

[Honk honk.]

...Also if someone can take the time to come by the gym, could they use her for target practice? Don't destroy her or anything, please. She was very difficult to make. But she has good shields and can regenerate some injuries and she loves to play dodge. Just be sure to tell her she's a good girl.

Conductive resin?

[ He'll get back to the other stuff, but that loses him for a second there. Resin? For what? Wait, is that a metal... ]

Resin is usually a sticky substance that hardens over time. They can happen in nature, but some resin is chemically produced. You can make conductive resins, as well.

Think of it like a very strong amber filled with metal flakes. A strong conductive resin would allow me to make mostly metal antennas of any shape of my choosing without use of a forge.

Oh! Is it hard to get? Or use? We could get some of that, right? What do you need to make it for?

It shouldn't be hard to get. All I need to do is order the chemicals and a pneumatic pressure tank to control fumes or bubbles forming. I just have to save up my points again after Claudette's upgrades.

I need it for a Void related experiment. [She's going to use shards from the stones from the river to form antennas that hopefully they can use.]

But I've used it for armor components before and a lot of other things. A mold and a little resin can go a long way.

You're a real busy science-goer! [ Or whatever's a good nickname for crafty people. He's impressed though. ]

Hey, you were gonna make VR gear for some of us to use, right? I got a bunch of glasses while on the last planet. You think they'll be any good too? There were some that poject holograms too, but I gave most of those to Seto to use to see what he could do with.

[ But maybe they were already doing science things together? ]

I try to keep busy! Who knows how long we have here and I'd like to learn as much as possible while I can.

We made them! They're in the storage with the weapons. Two drones for each team. Honestly, I should have used them more during the last mission. I feel like someone staying in the city and using the drones to help guide people out would have been more useful than wandering around. But considering that VR had already been used for part of whatever insidious plot that was it might have not mattered.

Kaiba's pretty good at the VR thing so I think he'll do great with them.

Oh, cool! I had no clue. What do they do, just...buzz around, flying and scooping out the place? I know you wanted to make stuff that'd shoot off spells or healing or something like that too, didn't you? Or maybe that was someone else...

I do! I actually ordered one of my energy weapons from home to modify. But I'll be giving it as a single item to a friend. I've not had a chance to ask Lightning for a mana drive yet and she appears to currently not exist at the moment so I will have to wait for her to exist again for that conversation.

The drones let people work in inhospitable areas by projecting a holographic hard light version of that person while they wear the headset. They have limited battery power so they couldn't be used the whole time, but if somewhere is too hot or too cold or the air is bad and so on, then they'd be useful.

[ There's a soft hum. ]

I can give you a mana drive to work with. [ At least to cover that. ] Just be careful if [ when ] you open it up, 'kay? --I could just come give you the stuff now if you want. And how about some elemental gems? Uh-

[ A pause. ]

But be reeeal careful' bout shaking those too much. They're good when they blow up around the other guys. Not you.

But I'll give you a shield just in case.

You're very sweet, I appreciate it. But I'm used to things blowing up in my face. I'll be careful.

Do you want me to try and reassemble it or give you something to use when I have points later?

[Not that she's expecting a lot. She used most of hers buying items for her various projects. But she's trying to keep up with the barter system in some way.]

Uh, whatever happens? There's some books on the things Light got, so that'll help you work it out, I guess. But if you break it, don't sweat it.

I don't really care s'long as the stuff helps us get more to be used for the train. All I can do with the gems is throw 'em. [ ... ] Which uh... I'll still give you that shield. It's not big anyway, you can wear it easy. It'll heal you if you get hurt too! But those gems are pretty good at killing fiends.

[ So!! ]

It'll bounce off the magic!

[ And land it who-knows-where! But not in Entrapta's face. ]

Great! That plus my mask should keep me pretty safe.

Do you have any written information on the gems? I've done a lot of research into crystal-based tech, considering that's the basis for most First One's tech on my world. -Ancient tech left by early settlers, essentially. Strong enough to move a whole world into another dimension to keep it safe.

No, sorry. I uhh, don't know if there would be any books? I'll try ordering something, but most of the world's...all huts, a few temples, that kinda thing. Basic. [ For a no better word. ] But I did manage to get a book once, so there might some stuff about them!

The world used to be advanced long ago, so maybe it'll grab something from then. But I know the fire shield I have has some of the fire gems in 'em - it eats up fire and heals whoever's holding it.

[ So, they can do some nifty things! ...somehow. ]

Alright! I'll study them. And I'll look up that book.

I should try to find an elemental magic book related to void worlds but I've already got to research this soul thing.

Oh well! Slow progress is still progress.

Just lemme know where to drop off the stuff! The books for the mana drives are probably in the library.

Good luck finding a good book on magic though. But, there's probably millions out there. Void's a big place!
