[It's been a few hours since everyone has returned from the mission. Ryo looks tired - but gods, who isn't by this point? - but he's still here.]

I'm in the dining car. I have coffee and tea and hot chocolate - the good kind. I also have something that'll knock you out until tomorrow, if you want that. If anyone wants anything, you're welcome to come pick it up.

You don't have to stay and talk, but...if you want to, I'm here. I can also help you if you're hurt or still coughing from the smog on the mission.

Just...don't feel like you have to handle this alone. Even if it's not me, there's always someone willing to help. You just need to ask.

"Mmhmm." [Mono hums, cautiously figuring out just the right way to place his arms around the cup to lift it right. It's still a bit hot, but the steam does feel nice on his dry throat and face.]

"Didn't. Go so well." [Or maybe that's how things are supposed to happen. It was hard to say. He had been so exhausted by the time he escaped the last ring.]

"A-are they. Are they all. Like that?"

[He sighs. The first mission is always a doozy, and while his had thrown him in particular for a loop, it had been fairly innocuous all told. This one had been absolutely hellish on the last day, and it was multiple people's first. Hell of an introduction to train life.]

No, they're not. This one was particularly bad for just about everyone, as far as I can tell.

[He can't just leave it like that, though.]

But...we do better when we stick together. There's always someone willing to help if you ask.

[He nods quietly to himself at that. That's... something at least. They won't all be that hard and learning to let go of pride and ask for help was a sentiment he has heard a lot the last few weeks from various parties. They were right. Mono doesn't know how he could have ever gotten through all that alone. He pauses to clear his throat before preparing for a tentative sip.]

"Did we help?" [He was so exhausted, emotionally and physically by the end of it, it was hard to tell why they stopped at the station at all. There was a point to it, wasn't there? Beyond the sky getting angry?]

Yes.

[No hesitation. No doubt. The world was worse off before they'd arrived. They'd suffered for it, but they had at least helped.]

People were getting hurt - getting killed by whatever was causing those illusions, and they couldn't fight back. Now, because of us, it's left their world, and they have a chance to rebuild.

I know it doesn't really feel like it right now, but...we did help.
