[It's been a few hours since everyone has returned from the mission. Ryo looks tired - but gods, who isn't by this point? - but he's still here.]

I'm in the dining car. I have coffee and tea and hot chocolate - the good kind. I also have something that'll knock you out until tomorrow, if you want that. If anyone wants anything, you're welcome to come pick it up.

You don't have to stay and talk, but...if you want to, I'm here. I can also help you if you're hurt or still coughing from the smog on the mission.

Just...don't feel like you have to handle this alone. Even if it's not me, there's always someone willing to help. You just need to ask.

[It's a nothing answer, and he knows it, but he's also not about to detail the sheer amount of emotional exhaustion he's dealing with right now for someone he's only just met.]

[That's the nice, definitely-no-psychic-powers way of putting it. Once the handshake is done, Ghost sets about making himself a mug of coffee. He doesn't need to be staying up, but caffeine helps focus which helps his psychic exhaustion even if only a little bit.]

There's a metaphor in my world about, you have to put your own oxygen mask on before you can help anyone else.

[After this mission, he doesn't have to explain it - it's something they all lived out there in the smog.]

You can't help anyone if you're not holding yourself together.

Find me someone who isn't exhausted and I'll find you someone who didn't go on the mission.

[He can hear the edge in his voice and he stops and closes his eyes, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, the same way he's seen Orion do when his temper starts to get out of hand. His temper is already short, and he does not like being questioned like this when he's just trying to help, but...well, Ghost doesn't know him. He doesn't know what he walked into. It's unfair for Ryo to take the day out on anyone at all, let alone a stranger.]

[He's managed to take the edge out of his voice when he speaks again.]

I'm a healer, and my magic doesn't work when I'm injured. I...may know a thing or two about that.

[Rather than being put off by the flash of temper, Ghost laughs - a little dark and cynical? Exactly up the range of his sense of humor, especially when he's tired.]

Least they could have done was have food ready for us or something.

[He finishes his coffee mug and takes a seat near but not too close to Ryo, leaning his elbows on the table.]

Okay, then I'm not going to drag you into a circle of 'don't push yourself.' Outside of sleep and time to recover, anything you need?
