Llama day 2 from Stores to Everywhere
[Taiki is stood in front of the ICP in the stores, to not be underfoot in the kitchen as he did this. His face is stern, a lot sterner and stoic than most who knew the young man would expect. Not a twitch or a tremor betrayed just how nervous he was to be speaking over the ICPs. Or to be talking about this at all.]
Hello, I hope everyone who joined us yesterday have begun to settle in. For those who don't know me my name is Taiki and I'm on the Red team. However I rarely am with the red team on missions and that is part of what I wish to speak with you about today. It is a new month and that means there will be a mission in a few days time. I am someone who does not fight and cannot condone violence done towards any other creatures, I say this not to condemn those of you who feel differently but to explain why I struggle being of use on the missions we are sent on. I often wonder if it would be better to remain here on the train but I cannot contemplate leaving my friends to go into danger without me and the missions are to save worlds. If refusing to fight for a world would mean it's demise than abstaining from the mission would be an act of cruelty in itself. [He shook his head.] So I have been finding ways to help without being near the fighting. However it has come to my attention that there are others who feel the same way I do even if they have their own reasons for it.
I thought it might be useful, if together we made ourselves known and figured out ways we could provide assistance to help those on these worlds without causing any harm. If anyone has any ideas of tasks that could be done by those who cannot or will not fight please suggest them. I wish to be of use and I am sure others do too.
[His face grows a tiny bit lighter, though keeping the stoic mask.]
On a slightly related note I bought a selection of vegan foods including a meal kit to make plant burgers. [He says vegan like the word is still quite new to him and 'plant burgers' like he is very dubious about their existance.] I am planning on doing some cooking if anyone wanted to try any of it.
Thank you.

What about hearing about violence? Considering your team, they definitely need more people to communicate for them.
[ And, because she can't help it, ] What 'nature'?

I understand your sentiment. [ He'll start there as an opening. ] I would like to refuse a mission for our own ends to see what the train does, but you're right, I'm not willing to do that at the sacrifice of people's lives.
[ He sighs. ]
I think you don't have to participate in the violence or condone it, but I think you could do more good off the train. The people who are fighting need back up. Protection. Medical attention. And occasionally there are tasks away from the fighting itself. While people are quick to take the lives of what we encounter in battle, I find that sort of thing unnecessary as far as my beliefs go. We have a strict no killing policy in the Kingdom of Science for a reason and violence is used to disarm and restrain someone who won't stop and no more than that.
[ People around here do kill too easily. Some have died. It bothers him. ]
I have no authority here, so I don't try to exert any, but I would suggest perhaps finding ways to be supportive if you can stomach that. If not... [ He'll tell Taiki what he told Merwen. ] Remaining on the train may be your best option.

I'm afraid I am not useful for medical attention either but others who do not fight could be and it is a good idea. [It was good that Senku's kingdom had a no killing policy, that they saught to disarm and restrain first.]
Likewise none on the train are mine to advise and I don't wish to judge, being supportive is what I am hoping to be. Roland and Tidus have had a lot of good ideas for me to help on with the purple team but... last mission I couldn't be with them because they were too close to the fighting.

There are various jobs and ways to be helpful from running supplies and monitoring communications, as well as gathering things for the train that don't involve getting in the thick of things. Unfortunately we haven't been able to gather for several missions, but if we find a resource rich world, that will definitely be on the table as well. It might sound like a distraction, but preparing for the next two weeks is just as vital as finishing the mission.

[You're doing a good thing, roomie!]
I mean, I absolutely condone violence sometimes but I'm also a non-combatant myself. I usually use my technical knowledge to solve objectives.
I don't know if the rest of Orange Team is like me, but sometimes I forget to eat when I'm busy doing something. So if anyone who doesn't fight could bring food occasionally I would be eternally grateful.

[Making a list in his head with Entrapta's name at the top.] I think a lot of people forget when they get busy.

What kind of missions does Red do?
[ She remembers what she'd been like a few years ago, before... well, that time. That's not to say she encourages violence now, but she acknowledges that it may be necessary sometimes. You just have to choose and act, and live with the consequences. ]

They are often given a target or something to fight. In the last mission they had to close demon gates, which were guarded by demons, another they had to destroy robots, once they had to travel to a water plane and fight a giant creature there. The one time I did go with red team they were investigating orbs but those orbs turned out to be monsters in darkness and I think they ended up having to travel to fight a large monster then as well. [He had been very ill by the end of that mission and his memories are patchy.]

Combat is not for everyone, and wanting to pursue a non-violent path is something I understand. I'm in Purple, but I opted for a non-combatant role in the signup form.

That's a great idea, Taiki. [ One that can't apply to Inigo, since he's too good of a fighter to let it go to waste, but.. ] Great job on thinking about this.
Re: video;
Thank you. I just hope it can help some others as well.
[After all Merwen had been so sad after the last mission.]

Hello, Taiki. I'm Leia Organa, one of those who just got on board yesterday. Though I wouldn't be part of the group you're forming directly, I do think it's a wonderful idea, and would like to help out if I can. You might say I have some experience directing and organizing people.
There are actually quite a few role that contentious objectors or other noncombatants can perform in the sort of situation you described, but to suggest anything to anyone in particular, I'd need to have a better idea of their skillset, since some of those tasks require special training. For example, what sorts of things can you do, aside from apparently cooking?

I'm not all that useful I'm afraid, but I am happy to carry supplies and can move them very quickly if they are needed in an emergency. [He is quiet as he tries to think of anything else he might be good at.]

Hey there, Taiki! Afraid I don't have much to offer in terms of ideas for non-fighting-related jobs to do on missions aside from healing, but I wanted to let you know that I'm behind you on this at least. You think of anything I can do to help out, just let me know, alright?
In the mean time, I've never had plant burgers before, but I'm game to try one out. It's Blue's turn to cook this month anyway, so I could even help out, if you want.
