Kazoo 16 - Video Post

[The video opens with a very somber-looking WangJi. Even more so than he normally looked for those who were actually able to tell. Even from the angle of the video, a very obvious pair of white ears from a rabbit kept bouncing into frame for a moment as WangJi made the post while holding Little Radish]

For those that knew him, Wei Ying... my husband... is no longer on the train. There are others still here, but he has departed the train.

[It was as simple as that.

For those that wish to find him, he can - predictably - be found in the Greenhouse with his two rabbits, Little Radish now snuggled in his arms and being a good comfort bunny while Little Carrot played with a random leaf that had been on the ground]

[WangJi glanced up as Yondu came in, coming over and sitting down next to him. Little Carrot immediately hopped over to see Yondu, of course, quite happy to get a pet. There was a happy rabbit look on his face at that. He liked pets.

WangJi was quiet as well. Just the presence of someone else was comforting enough. Words were okay, but actually being there was something completely different]

[He pets his ears a couple of times, before sitting up and nudging WangJi's shoulder with his own.]

I don't figure you're the drinkin' type or I'd offer you somethin'.

Sorry he left. I don't know how this train works, but maybe he'll be back. That happens sometimes.

[Little Carrot looked up as the petting stopped and decided to go back to playing with his leaf]

It is true. I do not drink. Only tea.

[Unless you want WangJi instantly drunk and even worse being sad about WuXian being gone. That would be a far more awkward thing to deal with, especially since WangJi wouldn't remember any of it]

He may. I left and returned. So it is possible he will as well.

Well, I've only made tea since I been here. I could get ya some tea, but I cain't promise it'd be good tea. But it'd be tea.

[But he'd do it, since they're crew and WangJi's always done right by him. Even putting up with him getting used to having the taller fin.]

[WangJi smiled faintly, petting Little Radish. Personally, none of the tea was that good on the train. It certainly wasn't up to the quality that he had had at home, but he still drank it. But of course, it would be that much better coming from a friend]

I'm sure it will be fine.

[yondu]

I'll go get you somethin'.

[And he does leave then to go to the kitchens. In about ten minutes he's back with a mug of tea, and at least it's green. He did his best.]

[He offers him the mug and sits beside him again.]

What was it like when you left an' came back?

[He hadn't moved between when Yondu left and when he returned aside from petting his rabbit. Little Carrot, however, had moved and was "attacking" his leaf.

As Yondu offered him the mug, he set Little Radish down in his lap. The rabbit immediately snuggled in, not moving any further. WangJi took the mug, holding it in his hands as Yondu sat down again]

I don't remember having been here before. My husband remembered me being here and there were others on the train who knew me though I had not met them before. [He took a sip of the tea] I hear there are some who return and remember the train.

Most people I know that left an' came back remembered. In a real strange way, too. Like they was in one place an' then on the platform.

[Which makes him wonder if this WangJi is even the same considering the number of 'em around, but it doesn't make much difference. He and Wuxian lived as a married couple just the same. He saw it happenin'.]

Hmm... that certainly is strange that they remembering being in one place than on the platform. I suppose it makes sense.

[It was curious that some did remember and some did not]

I wonder if there is a reason some remember and some do not.

I ain't sure. Maybe the train doesn't know how to bring ya back quite right.

[His consistently surprised by how well-behaved these rabbits are. It's like they know their person's all tore up at the moment. That or they're just pretty patient.]

Either way, I figure if he doesn't remember you could fill 'im in.

That is perhaps it. The train does seem to be an enigma and perhaps it is better at returning some than others.

[Little Radish probably knew he was hurting inside. He had done this before when WuXian left the first time. Little Carrot was likely just patient... well as patient as he could be when he suddenly was wearing his leaf as a hat and looking a little put off about it]

Of course. I would always help him.

[After watching Little Carrot for a bit, he has a fond thought towards the rabbit that he seems about as dumb as his own son. Sometimes you're warmed by strangest things.]

Yeah an' ifn' ya need anything else, like takin' off chores for a bit. Shit like that. I'll help ya out.

[WangJi's a roommate and a crewmate, after all. He doesn't know if they qualify as friends, but close enough for Yondu to cover his ass when he's feeling weaker than usual.]

[Yeah... Little Carrot definitely had his moments of being rather dumb. Well, when your life was predator-free in a train, one could afford to be a little daft sometimes]

That is very kind of you. I appreciate it. I think keeping busy will help, but I will let you know.
