Ah...good afternoon. Forgive me, I'm not quite used to doing things in this manner. But that is kind of why I am contacting you all today.

On the previous mission, I realized that this communication device is useful but that we might benefit more by other means. I'm new so I'm afraid I don't know too many of you and so I hope I am not over stepping by asking this.

But I was curious...Is there anyone else that has communicated with others via a more internal method? Where I am from we have these communication arrays that we access using spiritual power. And if you know a person's personal password you can communicate directly with them through your minds.

[That is the most general way he can describe that...he just hopes he is making things clear.]

It got me thinking that during missions that might be monitored by an enemy, it might be convenient to have such a form of communication that they wouldn't be able to track. Granted I haven't been on many missions so I don't know how many times this would be useful...but it is good to be prepared for any situation.

I'm sorry I have rambled on...

Basically I was asking if anyone else also has communicated in that way in the past and if it might be something useful that those of us with that ability might be able to help contribute to missions in some way.

We have passwords to ensure that not just anyone can contact us at any time. We only give those to people we trust. As for the array that was used overall it was like a big room that you could step into and there was almost always a group of people in it talking.

[They were often quite noisy...and they never seemed to enjoy it when he would pop in. Of course he wasn't widely liked by other gods...]

I'm only suggesting it be used by people who know how to handle it.

Unfortunately we don't know how many people are trained or untrained. It's not a bad idea, but even with a password, we might be able to find something safer for everyone.

I certainly don't want anyone to experience any difficulties from doing so. That was why I had hoped to focus on those that already had such a skill. My partner and I are on different teams and we know each others password. So it would make it easy to communicate between blue and purple. If the other teams also had similar connections it could make things easier.

I'd be interested in seeing the arrays, if that's possible.

Our personal arrays don't really have anything to see. It's just in our minds. So it is more...feeling and hearing it.

As for the heavenly array...we can't access that in this place but perhaps someone with stronger spiritual power could create something similar for meeting as groups.

When you say Array, what specifically do you mean? Because I'm picturing a layout of a circle or other design, painted with runes or characters to help focus the magic.

The one in the heavenly city is much like that. And the gods stands around the outside of it or inside of it to discuss whatever they need. And it is a place where many people can be at once.

Our personal ones are more for one on one conversations. Much like we are having now except in our heads. Since it is controlled by spiritual power, our bodies are what focuses the magic.

I think I need to learn more about your magic in particular, for this to make more sense. If you're up for talking about it, that is.

I don't mind. Spiritual power is your internal energy and can be increased by meditation and cultivation practices. I'm...technically a god but most of my spiritual energy is gone.

So I can't really show you how it works but If you have an internal power I am sure it works very similar.

Do you diagram it at all out, physically?

Diagram it out? I'm not sure I understand.

sketch out circles and sigils, design it on the floor or on paper or something.

Ah no...none of that is necessary. Since it is an internal system the only thing that anyone needs to contact me is some sort of similar ability and my personal password. No drawing of anything is necessary.

Ah. So you couldn't necessarily even draw a diagram out of how it all looks on paper. [She thinks she understands now. That's very high level magic to not need any kind of physical focus.]

Not really unfortunately. Were there people who had a similar skill on your world that had to draw things out first?

"It's more....a fundamental to several styles of magic, that you diagram out what you're doing somehow."

"There are other spells that we do have to draw. Like to transport ourselves from one place to another." But he doesn't have nearly the spiritual energy needed to be able to do that kind of thing.

"Generally where I'm from, if you don't have to use some type of tool or mantra to use magic, it's considered very powerful. I count 'diagramming' it out, as a tool."

"Ah I see. I imagine the people on your world that have the abilities are mortals though? Perhaps that has something to do with it. Their bodies might not be capable of holding the amount of spiritual power it takes to do those things without the diagrams."

It seems that all worlds work with their own rules which is interesting but not surprising.

"That's as good a theory as any, as to why. It's also easier to visualize and manifest what you're doing."

It's quite fascinating how different things are done on each world. Even if not a lot of us can communicate through these methods, I look forward to being able to see all the other skills that everyone has.

If an opportunity comes up, I'll try to show you what I mean about diagramming it out.
