[After the spark of an idea settles in - and after Nita's discussed it with a few trusted people - and giving the train a heads' up - Nita finds herself making a post in the early afternoon, two days before the turn of the month.]

Hello, everyone. This is Nita Callahan again, and I've got both an idea, and a request.

We've learned the train can communicate with us more directly - but it has trouble doing so. As in, energy troubles, not just the social aspect.

[Which, frankly, she can relate to... and which often made that sense of disconnect, or missed connection, worse.

No matter.]

So I'd like to get as many of those with abilities that can bridge that gap - psychic, technological, whatever you've got - as want to participate, and this next platform day we can spend some time seeing how they fit together.

I'll admit, I haven't had much success in being close - but mostly I was acting alone, and the few times I did joint-work with people were mixed at best. But if we can make a channel, even if it's just through group meditation or similar, then maybe we'll all have less of an uphill battle.

Shared burdens are lessened; we have to remember that.

"Might not be as much of a leap as you think, then, Clef."

You let something get used to you, work with it a lot - then, change it.

Alright, so it wasn't that simple in practice, but that DID seem to be the basics.

Nita grinned a bit more brightly, then,

"So, if we're tag-teaming this, at least to start, how did you want to do it?"

"To start I'll work on the gauntlet, and explain what I am doing as I go, and you can ask questions. It should take about two days for me to transform the nature of the sword into the gauntlet. When that is done, you and I can focus on the basics, you crafting with guidance. It will take some doing, after all, for us to figure out how to translate pharle work to your style of wizardry, since I am less familiar with it than I am with Bending."

Think we're working to a fade-out, depending on how long working on the gauntlet takes?

"You've got a consummate studier here, Clef; I'm ready."

Or ready enough to pay attention, anyway.

"And I'll share what I'm used to when it's my turn, too."

Probably.

He nodded. "I do not want to teach people we do not trust how to make evolving items, but it would be good to have more pharles for the missions." And then he smiled at her. "And I never doubted your commitment to studying. I have finished copying the Plarle Compendium, so you can do further reading on your own as well."

"So I'll have homework?"

It's not a sour question; she was smiling, after all.

He laughed and nodded. "If Link arrives here, could you kindly explain to him why that is a good thing?" he added with a chuckle.
