[Senku waves slightly.]

I'm Senku, if you don't know me. [Everyone can't possibly know him, at least, but they've probably seen him around he certainly has a distinct hairstyle, that and he's always working on a project.]

Had a bit of a slow start from the last mission, but I wanted to tell people about the supplies we picked up during the last mission, so you know the food that's available to you.

We picked up fifty-five konjac roots from the devil's tongue plants. I used about ten to make some Shirataki noodles, which are a vegan substitute. The technique can be used in a variety of ways, to substitute for other things, which I'm happy to help with if people have requests. There are about forty roots left over, just stored in the pantry. I'm not a vegan so I don't really know what people might like specifically, but it's fairly easy to do.

Aside from that, we picked up forty passionflora, which included an average of three fruit per plant. To that end, I've put forty of the fruits in the fridge, and I'll replenish them when they're out. The rest are being stored in the arms band so they don't spoil. If I don't notice, don't hesitate to tell me, or if you want them for a project or something.

We also picked up seventy-five cocoa pods full of cocoa beans. I've got them all out of the pods right now, but that means in the next two weeks I'll be making cocoa powder and chocolate, that will end up in the pantry when it's ready. We tried to gather a lot of that specifically, but chocolate takes a long time to process, so it won't be ready until then.

I had help gathering these things from Gen, Inigo, Tidus and Roland on the last mission. If anyone is interested in learning how to make chocolate, or interested in gathering things the next mission we go on, don't hesitate to ask me, I intend on continuing to do this for the forseeable future. [It's his hobby okay.]

Does anyone have any questions about any of that? [He'll stay by the ICP, but he's already picking up what looks like an animal pelt and a bone needle and stitching. He doesn't like to sit idle.]

Yeah, I'm sure we can be creative with it if we wanted. I know the basic principles of baking, but usally for me it takes a lot of trial and error. But I can follow a recipe, that's all I was thinking. I have the points, I might do it anyway.

Then Gen could pick something he wanted.

Wait, Gen? I met that guy. He seemed a little weird, but decent enough. Is he a friend of yours?

[That... would probably make sense. Both of them seemed pretty intelligent, if in different ways.]

Ah, yeah, he's a lot of things to me. He's one of my generals, and at home we live together, he's a close friend and I suppose he's my confidant. He's also one of the members of my Kingdom of Science, so it's important that I look after him and make sure he has everything he needs.

[ A pause. ] Oh, yes, and he's my boyfriend.

[Rich is nodding along with pretty much all of that. From what he knows about Senku, all of this seems to match up. Maybe some of the words are weird, but he chalks that up to them being from different worlds.

Until that last bit. Rich blinks, and manages to muffle a snort.]

No shit? You lucky bastard. You gay? [He isn't at all asking it in a derogatory way. Seems he's just genuinely curious.]

[ He wouldn't really care if he was, he looks like he's considering the question seriously though. ]

Hn, I'm not sure you could call me gay. I'm asexual more than anything, but I suppose if I had any interest at all, it would be with a male.

Which Gen is. It's probably a complicated thing for him, but he doesn't seem to mind much.

I mean, that's still gay. It's just homoromantic asexual. Still part of the whole spectrum of queerness.

I'm bi, actually. That's why I was asking. Uh. Sorry if it was awkward to bring it up.

[He's newly out, so it's just exciting to actually talk about it.]

I suppose, I don't typically think that much about it. [ He's aware about all the surrounding stuff, but like everything else he chooses to ignore, he can just do that instead of making it a point of interest about himself. It just is. ]

It's fine. I know someone who is. I'm not exactly an expert on dating stuff.

I'm not either though! I mean, like not at all. I was... really bad at that kind of stuff. Don't know if it's gong to get much better with dudes as a possibility too now.

[He thinks back to how he breached the topic of Michael having a boyfriend and groans.] Actually, no, it definitely won't get better.

Gen confessed to me years ago. [ Senku fills in with a groan. ] We already live together. We just...I didn't say anything we've just been like we are all that time until Xue Yang got involved so now we're boyfriends.

[ He may have him beat. Years, Rich. Years. ]

...Oh, dude. I don't know if even my crushes are that oblivious. You're lucky Gen didn't get tired of your shit way before that.

[It's... kind of sweet that he didn't, though.]

He doesn't find much of my shit tiresome at all. He figured I wasn't interested in anyone and he's not exactly wrong on that. Being boyfriends officially hasn't changed our relationship much at all.

[ They already cohabitate and live on top of one another, what else is there to do? ]

I wasn't oblivious. I just...didn't know what to say. I'm not good at...that. Feelings. Mushy crap.

Well, at least as long as you're both getting what you're wanting out of the relationship, that's the important stuff. I'm happy for you guys.

I mean, I'm a bit more of a romantic, that's all. I like to express that kind of stuff, if I can actually find someone who's half-interested.

[Which doesn't... seem to be a thing. Maybe Michael would have been into it, but he's not at home to test that hypothesis.]

He says he is, so I have to trust him on that.

[ Senku can't always tell, but he suspects everything is actually fine between them. ]

That depends I guess. He seems to find it when I make him stuff romantic. I draw the line at a candy house though. An actual house, yes, but if it's made of candy he'd just eat it.

[Rich snorts at that and shakes his head.]

Has he honestly asked for a whole candy house? I have a sweet tooth, but even that's too much for me.

[ Senku giggles a little bit. ]

Yes, we were talking about it at the winter faire. I asked him if he was some lost German child and he said it would be fun to have a candy house.

Have to draw the line there, I'm not baking every time he gets hungry and snacks on the house.

I mean, a candy house sounds cool until you remember it's only going to attract witches and starving children. Not to mention raccoons.

[It's just not a good investment, Gen.]

I'm not sure about raccoons, but definitely other wildlife. Convenient, if we're feeling lazy about hunting, but not great otherwise.

Yeah, I don't know if the free meat would replace the cost of repairs on that.
