[Video] Supplies Update
[Senku waves slightly.]
I'm Senku, if you don't know me. [Everyone can't possibly know him, at least, but they've probably seen him around he certainly has a distinct hairstyle, that and he's always working on a project.]
Had a bit of a slow start from the last mission, but I wanted to tell people about the supplies we picked up during the last mission, so you know the food that's available to you.
We picked up fifty-five konjac roots from the devil's tongue plants. I used about ten to make some Shirataki noodles, which are a vegan substitute. The technique can be used in a variety of ways, to substitute for other things, which I'm happy to help with if people have requests. There are about forty roots left over, just stored in the pantry. I'm not a vegan so I don't really know what people might like specifically, but it's fairly easy to do.
Aside from that, we picked up forty passionflora, which included an average of three fruit per plant. To that end, I've put forty of the fruits in the fridge, and I'll replenish them when they're out. The rest are being stored in the arms band so they don't spoil. If I don't notice, don't hesitate to tell me, or if you want them for a project or something.
We also picked up seventy-five cocoa pods full of cocoa beans. I've got them all out of the pods right now, but that means in the next two weeks I'll be making cocoa powder and chocolate, that will end up in the pantry when it's ready. We tried to gather a lot of that specifically, but chocolate takes a long time to process, so it won't be ready until then.
I had help gathering these things from Gen, Inigo, Tidus and Roland on the last mission. If anyone is interested in learning how to make chocolate, or interested in gathering things the next mission we go on, don't hesitate to ask me, I intend on continuing to do this for the forseeable future. [It's his hobby okay.]
Does anyone have any questions about any of that? [He'll stay by the ICP, but he's already picking up what looks like an animal pelt and a bone needle and stitching. He doesn't like to sit idle.]

I guess being into it matters too. --whoa, this is tough!
[ This would be Tidus finally making his first stab into the blanket stitching, worth interrupting himself with. Huh! ]
How close you want this stitching? Show me?
[ Just lifting it into view for a second will suffice! ]
no subject
[ He will just show him, it's not terribly close anyway, it doesn't need to be for this blanket. It's really hard to mess something up, Senku is not worried. ]
Knowing the theories only got me so far. Took more than a day to get fire again, then I had to worry about food, which took a couple more.
[ His tone is light, it might sound flippant as long as one didn't think too much about all of that. ]

Tidus can understand though, the cool customer tone Senku takes. It's just how he is, but also - there's no use fretting over what was. He was in a similar position before, if not as drastic as Senku's life... ]
I was struggling a day on my own in Spira. You said you got stuck six months without anyone else, right? [ His gaze flicks up, but he's pretty sure on the number. ] The world got lucky, a guy as curious as you was around to help everyone out.
[ And there's a small smile there as he says it. ]
You know, the people who leave... their stuff leaves with them. You thinking of trying to stick anything in your arms band in case it goes with you? So you can take it back to everyone.

Six months alone, yes, and then Taiju got up. Laziest best friend ever. [ He'll complain about him easily. ] And then it was the two of us for another six months.
[ He considers that and shakes his head. ]
No, I don't think so. If I was going to disappear, I have to hope Gen has the arms band because I wouldn't want to leave him without what we've gathered. That said, we are going to have to use that stuff. I'm happy to give things to other people too.

[ He doesn't really want to press too much into the idea, trying to keep the subject light. Shrugging, as he pierces into the fleece and pelt. ]
It's just an idea anyway. But I always thought we should get something out of being here. [ He smiles. ] And an arms band filled with goods doesn't sound bad to me! Even if it's all food and tools or what have you. Clothes! Or books!

Maybe, if anything, some meat. Or some vegetables. Those are kind of sparse. We mostly have fish, but we have bread now too. Actually, in the past couple of years, the village has gotten more sustainable.
So I'm not actually worried about them. The food situation is much better, and since I've joined no one has died of starvation or exposure from the winter cold. We've had a good few years.

Presents! [ Yeah! ] You don't get a lot of books around these days, and meat's always good. They'll be fine, [ he says with a nod, ] but nobody ever says no to extra goods, huh? What about some of the chocolate? You guys get a lot of it back home?
no subject
Chocolate's not a bad idea.
[ And if it ends up in Gen's custody, well, it would get eaten. ]
no subject
Well, there we go! I think everyone's going to be a lot happier just having you back, [ and probably mad he went disappearing suddenly in the first place, ] but candy never hurts, huh?
[ He grins. ] Especially if you're on this train. Everyone's got a sweet tooth!
[ Is there ever a day when there isn't some kind of sweet in the kitchen? Not this month. ]
no subject
[ He thinks they'll be more worried than mad...then maybe mad, but he's not too sure on that. ]
