Hello! So, Vee did that game where everyone got to ask it three questions. And I thought it seemed kinda fun. It would be a fun way to get to know everyone here. So I think it should be a game for everyone to play.

If you can do this.... Caw, ICP? Thingy. And talk to people. Let people ask you three questions and use it to get to know people! And even if you're the kind of person who doesn't care about getting to know people, it's still worth trying, because if we're all on teams and going on missions together, the more we know about each other, the better we can work together. Tactics, battle strategy, abilities, knowledge, strengths and weaknesses... And things like personality, history, all of that. The more we know about each other, the better we'll be.

Ready? I'll start!

Sounds like a good time to me!

Okay, so I'm Della Duck! Ace pilot, amazing explorer, awesome adventurer, and all around... ah... as... okay I was trying to think of a cool word that began with 'A' that would work with mom, cause I'm also a mom. Didn't pan out.

"Did you get separated from your kids too? Is that... A pilot thing? It happened to the ace pilot I know too, and if it is a thing... It may be something to warn students about back home if I go back into the training role."

[ Yeesh, right off the bat... She winces a bit before nodding. ]

Uh, well... I did get separated, but that had less to do with me being a pilot, and more me being selfish and reckless.

"If it helps, Cid said it was the pilot's curse. That's why I asked. He never really gave me an answer as to why going on treasure hunts and adventures far away was a curse to a family."

Well, hey, that's not entirely true! Adventures and treasure brought my family together, and keeps us together!

Would you tell us about your children?

[They are certainly important to her, and he is curious.]

They're triplet boys and ten years old! Huey's got an amazing memory, Dewey's the best dancer, and Louie's so clever it's scary!

They are! They are such wonderful little troublemakers. Some days I can barely keep up with them!
namethattune: (There were moments of gold)

What is the most trouble they have ever gotten into?

[She must have stories.]
sos_pilot: by <user name=cupcake_graphics> (till the end)

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-12-18 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... Depends on what you mean. The good kind of trouble where we all laughed and smiled at the end, or the actual bad kind where I nearly had a heart attack because of what they did?
namethattune: (I was left to my own devices)

[personal profile] namethattune 2020-12-18 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Whichever you would prefer, or both.
sos_pilot: (there's a bar in far bombay)

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-12-18 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
All right, I'll start with the heart attack one.

Louie's always been... a bad mix of greedy and lazy. He wants to be a millionaire like our uncle, but doesn't want to do the hard work necessary for it. So he thought he'd take the easy way out big time. He "borrowed" an invention from Uncle Scrooge's top scientist - a time machine in a tub. And he used it to go back and forth through time to bring back treasure before it was found in history.

But, well, time isn't supposed to be messed with like that. He accidentally wound up creating a time typhoon... a time-phoon... that launched dangerous people and forces from the past to our time, while also sending me and the rest of the family back in various periods of time.

Not a fun day.
namethattune: (It's a mess)

[personal profile] namethattune 2020-12-20 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
['Time machine in a tub' gets an immediate double-take, and he spends the rest of the story slightly agog. How does Della's dimension function-]

[But the questions he would have are likely not ones Della would be able to answer (or even interested in answering, more likely), and they are beside the subject at hand.]

How on Earth did you resolve that?
sos_pilot: by <user name=noimpulsecontrol> (let's float down to peru)

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-12-20 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Let's face it, Della's dimension barely functions as is. ]

The only way to fix it was to put everything back where it belong - both the treasures he took, and the various ninjas, cowboys, pirates, freedom fighters, and so on from other times. It was close, but we made it before all of time collapsed.

Then I had to do one of the most difficult things I'd ever done in my whole life...

... I had to punish Louie.

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-12-17 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Sweet! So, me, my son Dewey and my Uncle Scrooge McDuck traveled to the deep, frozen of the Tundra. There, the brilliant professor Ludwig Von Drake had built the Doomsday Vault - where everything the world needed to survive was stored, in case of every single kind of world-ending emergency possible. But it wasn't perfect, cause it got damaged. So Scrooge was there, to convince Ludwig's family to allow him to repair it with his money.

As Scrooge went with his boring yadda yadda speech, me and Dewey found out every kind of seed in the world was in that vault - including a seed that could grow a MONEY TREE! Can you even imagine?

[personal profile] dreamtamer 2020-12-19 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
No way! I've never heard of a real money tree before!

[Guilmon also had something to say about this.]

One time Impmon said that if I buried my bread, it would grow into a bread tree. But then he said he was just joking.

I know, right? I'd never heard of one before either - so of course, me and Dewey totally had to see this for ourselves. So we snuck away on the plane... without telling Uncle Scrooge. Which... probably wasn't the smart thing to do.

[ Oh well! Moving on. ]

But of course, Ludwig hadn't planned for anyone to just stroll along into the vault... there were layers of security we had to fight our way through! Broken bridges of ice! The freezing cold at every turn!

We did, because my brave boy Dewey stepped up! One door was locked, and there was a vent to the other side, but only he was small enough to crawl through! He made it to the other side, fixed the wires, and helped me through! He's so amazing!

[ has she mentioned she loves her boys SHE LOVES HER BOYS SO MUCH ]
