Ordinarily a passenger is tethered when they wish to travel into the void. For passengers of the Voidtrecker Express it is not known why some can be tethered and others cannot be.

[ It's not a very helpful answer. But maybe it's too much to expect the train to know everything.

Still, one thing did bother her. And since the train didn't seem to be cutting her off yet, she goes for one last question. ]

So why are people brought here if they don't want to be heroes? There have been people who have no desire to help or rescue other worlds, and yet they're chosen anyway.
