The day of the wedding, the bride and groom dress in red robes with gold embroidery to bring them good luck. Typically, the groom would go to the bride's house to retrieve her with musicians and villagers making noise as they go and she would ride in a sedan draped in red. Once at the groom's house, the bride and groom bow to the groom's ancestorial altar, then to each other, and each drink a cup of wine to seal the marriage agreement. In my family, we drink tea as we do not drink alcohol.

We are going to use the gym to host the ceremony and the reception and intend to ask for the dressing car to be open. That is what happened the last time and there were formal clothes available for everyone. The spider made our wedding clothes for the previous ceremony. Curufin has offered to play flute, but more musicians would be good. I will remember to check on that.
