[ In a very rare network appearance, Wen Qing shows up on the network, apparently sitting on the upper floor of the library. ]

I'm addressing those of you with knowledge of medicine or magical healing. Some of my colleagues and I are planning to undertake an eye transplant by surgery and would be grateful for further expertise.

Several months ago, a combination of medicine and magic proved very effective in healing Xue Yang so we would like to replicate this success.

OOC: This is about Xiao Xingchen's eye transplant, Wen Qing will be happy to provide further information just not sharing detailed medical information with the entire train. Willow and Ichigo are already signed up for it, others are welcome. This will mostly be handwaved but you're welcome to involve your medical characters in this endeavor and play out all things research & prep & what else at your own leisure. Post-surgery post by Xingchen will go up later.

"I think we have some broad spectrum antibiotics, and I'll be glad to put him on IV fluids to keep him hydrated while he wakes up from the procedure. Having an IV line in him will also allow for IV sedation so he can be asleep during it." Ichigo nodded, making a mental note to get with Senku about the drugs. "I'll probably enlist Glorfindel-san for help with sterilization since he's capable of generating intense heat. At home we have things called autoclaves, purpose built super hot ovens to bake surgical equipment to kill any bacteria or viruses that might be on the surfaces."

She nods, taking notes of what he has planned and who will be involved so they can, later on, make a list to get everyone on the same page about tasks.

"Using magic instead of your autoclave," she muses, "that's what I would have suggested, too. I use... or misuse, my fire techniques to sterilize equipment as well as in brewing medicine." Fire techniques which are actually more thought to be used in battle but they serve their purpose in medicine, too.

"I'll leave these preparations in your hands then, and if there's anything I can help with, I'll either be here or in the garden car. I'll have to try and spend some time cultivating to settle my mind in preparation for my part." Try, because the noisy, crowded train is hardly the best place for meditation, let alone cultivation, but it will have to do.

"Do we know who all will be in the room? Even those just observing will need to have masks and gloves to minimize the risk of infection." Ichigo was more than happy to take charge of the set up and making sure the room was pristine. It was something that he knew how to do easily.

She checks her list and purses her lips, shaking her head. "Not yet. I can only give you an incomplete list right now since people are still signing up, but I think by the end of the day we should know. Be braced for six or seven, at least, though if there's not enough space some of the magic workers might be able to operate from outside the room."

Ichigo smiled and nodded. "I'll make sure we have plenty of supplies on hand just to be on the safe side. Is there anything else you know of that I can do to help off hand?"

She shakes her head, a little ruefully. "Not right now. I'm mostly just compiling volunteers and their skills right now. At least that list will be useful for the future, even from people I've known for a while I'm learning of skills I'd had no idea about. I'll contact you as soon as I know more."

Nodding, Ichigo stood up and bowed to her. "Then I look forward to hearing from you when you have a date and time arranged. I'll take care of what I can on my end in the meantime."
