[The inspectors are gone and Ignis is breathing a sigh of relief. However, now that they're gone, he decides to check on his team.]

Members of the blue team, this is Ignis. Please report in and let me know you're alright.

[He takes a deep breath before continuing. It's an odd sort of feeling, but this is something that he'd discussed privately and there was no time like the present in order to get started on it.]

Tony, Raven, Reigen, Renee, and Evie please tell me all of you are fine as well.

I'm okay.

I didn't like those people. The way they made the whole train feel...it was wrong. But they're gone, right?

Romeo reporting in Sir! Are you alright? Those inspectors were really scary!

Um, this is Madoka.. reporting in..?

[ Is that what she's supposed to say? She has no idea, and she's still kind of jittery, so she sounds super unsure. ]

Thank you for checking up on us, mister Ignis..

[There's a small sigh at hearing the girl's voice.]

I'm glad to hear your voice.

[That was really all Ignis really wanted, and to keep his word. But he notes the tone in Madoka's voice.]

[She can't see it, but Ignis closes his eyes feeling some relief.]

It was quite the experience.

[Considering those suits reminded him of Niflheim Magitek troopers and for a brief moment he'd been panicked that he'd somehow put the entire train in danger.]

I don't quite know if they're completely gone. One can only hope that it is so.

I don't know if this is going to make sense to you, but everything feels off now.

Like there's something else to worry about, but the trouble is I have no idea what.

[Romeo's concern is so very touching and he smiled even if it couldn't be seen. The boy is such a thoughtful lad.]

I'm fine, so please don't worry.

[There's a nod to Romeo's assessment of the inspectors. As long as they're gone and his team is alright, that's all that Ignis cares about right now.]

That they were. It's good to hear your voice.

[This news troubles Ignis, but he definitely believes her.]

If you get a stronger sense of what it is, please do share what you find out. In the meantime we can just try to be prepared as best we can.

I will. I will definitely be keeping my eyes and ears open. I don't know if you've heard it, but the strange singing...I still hear it between the cars.

I was hoping it'd be gone with the disappearance of the inspectors. But, apparently not. Maybe this part of the universe just has a weird song-like sound to it?

[ So many doubts are being had, here. ]

[This news of singing doesn't bode well.]

Singing? I thought I heard something like crying but no I hadn't.

[Odd and eerie, kind of like the spooky things Renee had mentioned for her favourite time of year right? Was this something to do with that holiday?]

I may be off here myself, but this sounds like something to do with a thing I was told called Halloween. I highly doubt that would be held in space however.

[It's the only theory he had.]

[ There's a small 'hmm' from Evie, and then some silence as she thinks things over. Just a few moments. But... ]

I don't know how people handle Halloween in other universes. For all I know, a lot of places might not have it? Maybe this is just the equivalent here?

Not to mention, I don't know how the calendar here matches up with ones from our separate homes. It's hard to figure out. I'm not discounting your theory, however. I think it's a good one.

Things that are unnerving and eerie seem to fit the mode. Renee had been quite helpful in giving me the rundown.

[From Evie's reaction she at least knows of Halloween.]

The calendar does seem to have discrepancies.

[Ignis has been through scarier things, but this all seems to fit. He's not scared for himself, he's more mad now because two of his team members are shaken as are his friends.]

They certainly do, but where I'm from, it usually just means haunted houses. Costumes, some purchased from and made by me.

[ Irrelevant, but whatever. ]

Stories by a fire. A general feeling of terror without there being real danger. Like the high plummet from a roller coaster. You know there isn't any danger, that you're fine and strapped in. But it's still terrifying.

This? This was the real thing, I think. That sense of dread I woke up with seemed to extend to my cabin-mates, so I'm certain it went to the others on the train, too.

[ And that sense hasn't gone away. ]

[He's nodding as Evie goes on. Ignis has felt the dread too but he's not going to fall prey to it until he finds the source. If it was the inspectors, that might mean that they're still aboard. Six knew their presence had unnerved him.]

That feeling seemed to permeate the entire train I'm sure. Once we get out of our rooms I'm going to try to locate the source if it's still about.

[And get rid of it of course.]

I think I'm okay.. [ Just really shaken up by all of this. She's had ticket inspections in trains before, but they were never anything like this. ]

W-What about you though? Nothing bad happened, right?

I doubt any of us are 'fine' considering the state of things, but I can give you an 'all clear' here if that'd help.

[Be proud of her, she's deadpan, but trying to avoid harsher sarcasm because she likes Ignis.]

[No offense taken, he's just glad to hear from her.]

That will do just as well.

[Even if Ignis had the worst thing happen in the world happen, he wouldn't ever think to burden Madoka with it. So in keeping with that tradition, he wouldn't tell her about what happened in his cabin.]

Everything went fine, try not to worry.

[He knew that was a losing battle with Madoka, but he'd still tell her not to do it anyhow. But she still didn't seem alright and he couldn't fault her.]

How about we see what we can find to make in the kitchen once we're allowed out?

Do you think that'd be okay..?

[ Apparently that was a good suggestion on Ignis' part, since there's a spark of hope in Madoka's voice, even though she still sounds incredibly nervous. The whole mood the inspectors brought with them makes her ask that - unsure if they can just return to normal after all this. ]

I.. if we can, then it might be nice to make some sweets for everyone after this.. Maybe we could cheer people up.

I don't see why it wouldn't.

[The suggestion was because he could remember her being eager to help him cook for the team meeting that they still hadn't gotten around to. And not dwelling on something unpleasant would help Madoka in his mind.

Ignis was thankful e was happy that she couldn't see him smiling at her kindness and thoughtfulness.]

That would be a rather splendid idea.

Hey, Ignis-kun. I'm fine, but...well, I'm going to be leaving for a bit.

Those inspectors told me I can file a report about the kidnapping situation here at their headquarters. I trust you to make sure no one thinks I went missing, alright?

[Ignis was relieved that Reigen was checking in.]

Leaving?

[Now he's worried but the other man doesn't need a babysitter, if going by the night in the blonde's room was any indication. So there's a long pause filled with unanswered questions before any reply is made.]

Be careful out there.

[And if anything happens to Reigen, they'll be answering to Ignis.]

Yeah, I will.

[He knew Ignis would get it. There likely wouldn't be another opportunity to contact whatever was outside the train.]

They're not allowed to keep me longer than a day anyways, so I'll just sue or something if I'm stuck there longer.

[Ignis thought it was a clever idea if a bit worrisome for Reigen's safety.]

I suppose for one day I can find a substitute for the usual riff raff in the morning.

[He decided that teasing was better than outright worrying.]

Then might I ask that you contact me when you return?

[Tony hadn't planned on talking on this thing, despite being asked to by Ignis. However, when the adviser doesn't say the 'right' thing, he needed to step in.]

What the hell are you saying, Ignis? You don't back an idiotic idea like that! Reigen- under no circumstance are you to leave the train with these bastards! Have you lost your pea-sized brain?!
