[ Much like everyone else post-mission, Della looks exhausted as hell. But! She is trying to smile. ]

Hey guys. So, uh... not... the best ending to a mission, but we still succeeded! Kinda, sorta. And we're all alive! Kinda, sorta. ... Right, should probably get to the point before you all get mad at me.

Before the mission started, I got a hole in my prosthetic leg. And while it wasn't a huge deal during the mission, it got pointed out to me I should probably get it looked at anyway... At least, I promised I would after the mission. So, here I am.

[ She leans down, and, pop! Holds up her leg - it looks like an odd one, with some metal parts held together by gauze. There is a pretty noticeable hole in the lower half. ]

I made this out of rocket-ship parts. Kind of a long story. So, with all that out of the way, anyone know how to fix this?

[ She can hold onto that leg, okay! Inigo will keep her upright in this hug! Clearly Della doesn't even need to put the leg back on! ]

I-- I mean, I believe in you, Della! I really do! [ Would these big puppy eyes lie to you? ] But when Roland was hurt before after a mission, he tried to say it wasn't a big deal and that he would be fine.. I was worried that you might do the same.

[ Even with the promise! ]

... Well, not gunna lie, I probably would've done the same thing as Roland. Luckily I missed the danger.

[ She pats his arm, trying to reassure him. ]

In this case, I am telling the truth that I am definitely fine.

Della!!

[ This is not helping to make the puppy eyes go away. In fact, they're only getting stronger now. Inigo would say he appreciates the honesty, but does he really appreciate it when it's about this of all things! ]

If you're hurt, you have to let people know! They can help you! We're all a big team here! [ This is the most hypocritical lecture Inigo has ever given.

But he doesn't care. He doesn't want to see the people close to him hurt. ]

Yeah, yeah, I know, I know... Old habits are hard to break.

C'mon, you know I don't mean to turn your hair gray early.

[ Pause. Considering. ]

... Do humans get gray hair when they're older too?

[ Inigo nods. ]

Tidus said so.

[ Look, there aren't exactly a lot of old people around in medieval times, let alone wartorn medieval times.. So Inigo would rather trust someone else's expertise on this more, okay. ]

But that just means you'll have to let people properly look after you! Always! Or my hair will turn grey and it'll look really weird! [ This threat may not be as effective as the crying. ] And then all the girls will hate me, Della!

[ THE HORROR. ]

[ Huh. The way Inigo worded it made it sound like he wasn't human - that's the conclusion she jumps to instead of INIGO'S WORLD IS FULL OF SUFFERING AND PAIN. Curious as she is, she lets it rest for now, since it's clear Inigo needs more comfort than questions. ]

Now now, I can't imagine any girls hating you. Why, I bet you could be a real heartbreaker, with a whole line of ladies on your arm!

[ Thank Naga for duck mom, truly supportive in any situation.

Even when it's just Inigo being dumb and dramatic.

In fact, her being so supportive in the face of one of his dumb, over-exaggerated dramatic fits is what makes Inigo pause completely in surprise, slowly releasing his hold on her. He blinks at her, maybe even the faintest hint of pinkness appearing on his cheeks. ]

Y-- You think so?

[ Now that she's finally on the floor again, she can put her leg back on! Pop. ]

I wouldn't say it if I didn't believe it. You're sweet, you're thoughtful, you just have this whole "I wanna take care of him" vibe! Lots of chicks dig that.

[ At first Inigo blushes, trying to take in these compliments..

.. until Della arrives at the end of that statement. WAIT, HOLD ON. ]

That last part didn't sound like it was something good.. [ He'll take sweet and thoughtful, but why the part that follows it! ] I'm the one who's supposed to take care of others, not the other way around!

Why can't it go both ways? When it comes to partners, it should be a two-way street. You take care of them, and they'll take care of you.

B-But Della!

[ Look at his voice taking on that pleading tone again.. ]

I'm the prince! I have to be all-- all cool and handsome and charming! [ Despite that, Inigo totally wants to be cared for.

But that's not cool to admit, right.. That he's just a baby.. ]

I have to be the kind of person everyone can rely on!

[ Record needle scratch.

Inigo has just suddenly dropped something quite interesting. ]

Wait. What do you mean, you're the prince?

[ ...

Uh oh.

So many people he's close to on the train already know about it, so he kind of.. just forgot about the fact that he was keeping it secret to others in the middle of saying it just now.. ]

Iiiii.. [ His voice trails off, obviously waiting to make up some excuse. ] I meant I'm the prince.. of winning hearts..?

[ He smiles, but it's so obviously not what he meant just a moment ago. ]

[ ... dude.

It's really obvious she doesn't buy it, and seems to be struggling not to roll her eyes. But, okay buddy... ]

Riiight.

Well. If there were princes, princesses, kings, queens, dukes, duchesses, or anybody with a fancy shmancy title on board the train, I hope they'd know I wouldn't treat them any differently.

Well, there's.. quite a lot of those around, you know..

[ If Inigo wasn't so nice, he'd certainly throw some people under the bus right about now! ]

But.. um, I think most of them would appreciate that.. since it'd be strange to be treated so differently all of a sudden. [ Now he's definitely talking about himself, though he's doing it in the most direct indirect way possible. ]

Good. Just something to keep in mind.

... What were we talking about?

[ Uhhh something something princes care for others relationships cuteness yadda yadda...? ]

[ There's a slight pause.

And then he smiles. So. Adorably. He's definitely ramping up the cuteness on purpose over here. ]

About how much you love me?

[ Please, Inigo, you've got to stop trying to squeeze affection out of people. ]

[ She... doubts that's what the conversation was about, at all. But she'll roll with it, because he is indeed a cutie. She leans up, trying to ruffle his hair. ]

And don't you forget it, mister.

[ D-D'aww! He really didn't expect Della to give in that easily, especially considering his track record with these sorts of things. So when she does, ruffling his hair (he will even lean down a little to make it easier for her!) and saying that, his cheeks turn pink, his smile even a bit more genuine.

Duck mum truly is the best. ]

T-Thanks, Della. [ He sounds so grateful. ] I'll leave you alone now so you can get your leg fixed, but.. um. Let's hang out sometime soon.

[ That's what the Hip Kids say, right. Did he do it right? ]

[ She nods, giving him a thumbs-up. As someone stuck from the 90s, she sees no issue with the wording. ]
