MISSION RELATED - After Curufin's Vision Post, Imagination 6
[Well, everything that vision sounds like is terrible. Extremely terrible. Fire, screams, dust...
Emporio comes on the screen looking a little wound up, but otherwise quite focused and determined. He could probably have waited until they got to where they're going but...
He doesn't know that there would be time for this after that.] ...Does...anyone here have the power to change things like the weather, or...stop fire, or clean air..?
...I have something that can, but I don't think that if anything bad happens, I can do that kind of thing alone. I mean...it's...they're really strong, but I don't want to think something like 'I can definitely do that'.
...Where I came from though, I read about a theory from home- there used to be all kinds of giant animals, 'dinosaurs' and things, until a meteor hit the planet. But what killed them wasn't the meteor. I mean...I guess some of them it was, but what happened was the dust from the crash filled the air. It clouded the sky, and blocked the sun, for years. That's the theory at least, but it makes sense- if there was only initial consequence, then the rest of the planet's life should have been fine right?
...what I'm saying I guess is... ...Even though something might hit the planet, maybe we can do something after that too, if that happens. ...I want to try.

Umm... ...well...he can fight with his fists, [he starts, looking at his own,] Which is something I used last mission...I figured out that he can manipulate a lot of the properties of water really easily too- by icing his hands, he was able to fight the fire monsters without burning our fists. Making water, and making water into ice, and vice-versa, comes pretty naturally- it's the same with making clouds. But he can also control pretty much anything you would associate with the weather...and the use of the clouds was pretty incredible before I was connected to him.
Most of what I've done is make rainstorms, or wind gusts...I changed the air within a room once though- air is made of a few different chemicals. People talk about oxygen as a vital resource, but breathing pure oxygen is actually toxic- I... [He swallows, looking away as the incident he's referring to catches up to his thoughts.] ...It was the best way for me to survive at that time, I guess. I didn't realize I was even doing it...I just knew what was happening, and thought, 'this must have been something they prepared for the one to take Weather next'...
...But that's what he did. He reduced all of the air in the room to pure oxygen.

Wish I could make rain or wind gusts! It sounds like that's both useful and enjoyable. And your description of Weather's powers is intriguing. Sounds like he's an invaluable companion!
I kind of understand what you mean about oxygen. I'm a forge master, and those of us who work with fire have to understand the role of oxygen in the making of fire and in the metallurgic processes. Oh, that sounds like a story worth listening to, your experience of changing the air in a room. It sounds as though you and Weather practically share a mind, since you two are so attuned to one another's intentions.

...he really is invaluable though. I'm glad he's here, [he says quietly, holding the brim of his cap a bit.]
...A forge master? ...Oh! So...you were someone with a lot of skill in metal forging then? Neat... ...I guess Weather could be really handy there, yeah. Since he could handle the air, the water, and the temperature...
...I...could try sharing that story one day, I think. ...It's not a happy one, but I could try... ...I don't know if we're sharing a mind, so much as a soul though. When Stands were explained to me, it was explained as them being extensions of someone's soul- a part of that. It's why I was surprised when Weather didn't leave, right? [He vaguely mentioned it before, but not quite in this much detail.] ...Weather was someone else's before. He passed that part of himself on to help stop someone who almost destroyed everything, but I guess...he didn't want that part of him to leave after, either, [he finishes softly, managing a smile to himself as the words meet the air.
It's a nice thought. The idea that somehow, some way, someone is still there with him.]
