[Tony's face appears as he's quickly figuring out how to use the ICP. For anyone who saw him on the platform or shortly after, he's looking a lot better. There are some bruises on his face and he looks stressed, but this is still an improvement.]

Lightning. I don't know where you are, but I need you to come to the end of the sleeper carriage near the dressing carriage door. I have two idiots who need some help.

[About two hours later... it's just his voice this time.]

Whoever abducted us, you better change the damn fragrance in the dressing room to something these kids aren't allergic to before I find you.

[Well fine.

Tony rolls his eyes and rolls further back as Manabu climbs over him again. He loathes being stuck in this thing. He wants to be down on the floor looking at all the pipes and wires!

Oh what the hell.

He grunts at the effort, but pushes himself up off the chair and crouches down next to Manabu so he can see inside the panels. He reaches out and lightly touches a few pipes, nodding at which ones seem hot and which ones seem cold.]

What do you think are missing?

Stabilizers for shock, at least. Unless there's another drop floor under the piping. [and there's no chance of getting to that without some serious tools and a pitstop.] Usually there's light sequences alongside each pipe trail to verify status, so you can pinpoint breaks or stoppage easier, but it's just... [nothing. he shakes his head.]

I don't want to dig in too deeply if we're already moving; I don't know enough of the internals to be sure I wouldn't break something important.

[but that's almost the same as admitting defeat, and he doesn't like it. he sighs, sitting up.]

This...can't be one of our trains, then... [what is going on...?]

[Tony sticks his head as far into the space underneath the panel he can see. He mutters a curse when that really doesn't do much to help them. He looks up at Manabu as he's pulling himself back up.]

We need flashlights and tools. There has to be a maintenance area on this train. It looks like those bolts use wrenches. We might be able to find something that would work.

[Sitting back, he thinks for a moment.]

We should also figure out just exactly we're trying to do. Stop the train? Steal equipment from the train for our own purposes? What?

[he watches Tony with a worried frown. is it fine for the guy to just be out of his chair like that? is Manabu gonna have to pick him up? he hopes not.

that's a worry for later: he slumps a little, rubbing the back of his head.]

Right. I mean-- I kind of just want to know the destination more than anything. I'll take a side trip and explain it to my captain before just being stuck knowing nothing.

[he looks down at his clothes, murmuring:] ...Though...I-I'm not sure I want to know how I got into these clothes...

[He was just fine thank you! It might take more effort than normal to get off this floor, but he didn't need anyone picking him up. Again.

Tony nods, agreeing with Manabu that it would be very helpful to know where they were going.]

It'd be wise to have a way to do an emergency stop if we needed to. A way to control the train ourselves at least to a degree.

[The comment about his clothes had Tony scrunching his nose in disgust.]

Makes you feel violated, doesn't it?

[He runs a hand through his hair and sighs.]

You didn't ask, but I'm in a similar position to yours back home. There's an organization called the Avengers who are a collection of defenders with special skills or powers to protect the world. I was actually in middle of our biggest fight yet when I was brought here.

Is that why you're all bruised up? [he offers a sympathetic grin.]

[Tony sighs, it shouldn't be any wonder it was obvious he was in bad shape when he was having to use this stupid wheelchair. After a brief moment of looking irritated, he nods.]

It's.. temporary.

[Hopefully.]

But I can still help with whatever project we have going on here.

Mm. [an agreeable nod.] It'll go smoother if we can all work together, one way or another.

[whatever "project" that may turn out to be... Manabu scratches at his cheek, giving the gap in the floor another look.]

...At least it'll be easier to jar open next time, if we need to. But I suppose for now, I'll just...put it back the way I found it to avoid trouble, huh.

[Tony uses the wall next to him to help him get to his feet. Once up, he held out his hand to help the younger man stand too. Old habits died hard, after all.]

It was a pleasure meeting you Manabu. Please keep me in the loop when you come up what we should try next, okay? You're the first person here that seems inclined to do something about our situation instead of just cope with it and I want to be involved.

[once he's sure Tony's not gonna flop over or struggle too much getting situated, Manabu gets to his feet, giving him a nod and a grim, thin-lipped smile.]

Mm. I will. Let me know if you think of something sooner, though, and I'll be ready to help.
