Good day, everyone! [ Inigo smiles widely. ] I was wondering if anyone either has or knows of something rare and they wouldn't mind it.. erm, losing it.. probably permanently.
[ He's saying that statement as if he's only now realising how weird that sounds out loud.
But it's too late to go back on that now. ]
In exchange for a favour?
And preferably edible? But maybe not necessarily? Hey-- [ He turns away from the screen, seeming to have some mumbled discussion.
This is a totally normal ICP message. ]

[ It's too easy. Inigo's heart is so soft. Of course he's pulled along in this way too quickly, not wanting poor S'reee to suffer having only a bath tub to lay herself into at night...
But it feels kind of gross when it's lined with this hint of self-interest now! ]
Of course I'd want to help anyone on this train! But would you still be saying the same thing if it was a private pool car only she could use, huh?
no subject
[ Inigo! Tidus's voice takes a pouty note... ]
Is it so wrong that I wanna swim too, Inigo?
no subject
But just--! Please stop using these arguments, I told you, he's so weak to them! Especially that last statement, the very idea of him denying Tidus his swimming pleasures makes him just want to lay down in a ditch and expire... ]
No! No, of course it's not! [ He's almost too quick in his desire to suddenly reassure Tidus, verbally tripping over his own tongue. ] I want you to have that pool carriage too, you know? I've been voting for it! For you! And I voted for clocks before for you too!
[ Do you not realise how whipped he is, huh?? ]
no subject
I just want everyone to know what a good idea having a pool would be. For all of us -- but especially S'reee! My intentions are nothing but pure! [ And he shakes his head vigorously, denying any thoughts of ill-intentions! ]
You know I wouldn't do anything unless I thought it was a good idea -- a good for the whole of the train!
[ Look at this soft smile, Inigo...! This whole soft expression on his face. ]
no subject
[ Maybe a bit later, once he's out of this situation, Inigo will realise he's been had.
But right now? There's just no way. Between what Tidus is saying, that expression on his face and the way he's holding Inigo's hands, there's no way he could think anything other than great things about the other. Inigo looks half-dazed as he's staring at Tidus, a blush slowly starting to creep its way up his cheeks. ]
I mean, if.. if you need help with anything, I'll do whatever you need. [ SO DAMN WEAK. ] You know that, right? T-That's why I was voting for what you'd want in the first place!
no subject
I know, Inigo. You're a good friend. A good guy. [ Without an answer, Tidus will appreciate it for now. ] We'll make this train great. Together.
[ Tidus nods their hands before letting go. Putting a hand on Inigo's shoulder in comradery for a second. ]
We're gonna have a lot to do in the new month! 'Til then, I'll grab some paper, we can practice more of those crafty things. Jumblie! [ heyhey ] Think you can make make a flower?
[ Let's not think too hard about the conversation just had! ]
no subject
Jumblie seems more than happy about this suggestion though. She starts spinning, even more energized after having had that elixir, and showing off the flower petals on her.. well, 'neck', if higgledies even really have that. Of course she can make a flower, she already is a flower!
And speaking of the paper--
There's already some in Inigo's hand. Tidus is no longer the only one in this friendship who can pull stuff out of nowhere. ]
Here, I have some. I only took a bit [ because otherwise Inigo would feel bad hogging it all to himself when surely other people on the train would want to be creative too! ] so I could practice on the go. I, uh..
[ It's a little hard to talk about himself with any confidence when he's being genuine rather than dramatic, but look, he's trying to force it out. ]
I think I'm getting pretty good..? Good enough to start decorating places soon, maybe.
no subject
Great then! [ Because Tidus isn't here to question the legitimacy of Inigo's statement. ] How about we try... [ Hmmm- ] we practice on a spot in the library? We can stick some flowers in pots? Or maybe have them crawling up high.
[ Indicated with Tidus raising his hand up. ]
Or- you know, the train in that craft book had cars that look like they carry stuff. [ what's a freight train ] How about a train carrying flowers?
[ It's so goofy, and Tidus can't help but laugh at hearing himself make such a suggestion. But hey, here they were, doing it. ]
no subject
[ There's a hint of dryness in Inigo's voice as he says it, sure, but most of his tone is still just very fond after the daze from a few moments ago. Even if it's a pretty goofy suggestion, it's a goofy suggestion coming from Tidus, which instantly makes it better. ]
People might start to get sick of it! No, I was definitely thinking something more along the lines of the flowers kind of crawling up the wall, like there are actual flowers just growing there. Like--
[ He stops, looking ready to show his plan as he's pulling his notebook out of the band, before realising something else isn't in there. ]
.. do you have a pen or anything like that? [ HE CAN'T LET THIS IDEA DIE NOW. Just because he still has a poor sense of what he should or shouldn't be carrying around with him. ]
no subject
Uhhh- [ Let Tidus squeeze his eyes tight and wish really hard! ...and poof! His notebook appears with the pen in the spine, and Tidus takes it out, offering it over to Inigo. What you gonna do with that pen bro?? ]
no subject
Except of course not. Inigo opens up his own notebook - it's fairly unused, but that's not the point! - to start sketching in it. He's not good at drawing realistically, but this is just a quick thing, just a sketch of the general shape of the library carriage and the shelves.. ]
Here, this is about what the library carriage looks like, right? So I was thinking something along the lines of..
[ He picks a spot between two shelves, starting to draw tiny sketchy flowers there, running up the wall and along the ceiling in a pattern. Kind of wavey.
He's like one of those wedding flower designers up in here. At least Inigo looks like he's kind of enjoying himself as he's doodling it? ]
And then dark colours, so it suits the mood of the library! Maybe a dark blue?
no subject
Sure, a dark blue might be nice... [ It's not said lacking confidence, but more Tidus trying to imagine it at the same. And then- ] Oh, what if you do that thing where you use similar colours, but the hues change as you go around the room? Or would that get too light and weird...
[ But Tidus has to admit, that effect can be cool. ]
no subject
[ There's some actual serious consideration here. Inigo pulls back from his rough sketch a little, like he's trying to imagine it. He 'colours' in some of the flowers with pen, like he's trying to recreate the effect despite only having coloured and blank options to work with here. ]
No, I think that's a nice idea, actually. Especially since people will either move right through the library [ on their way to a different carriage ] or will sit around there. So it should give a nice effect to people passing by, but shouldn't bother or distract anyone trying to..
[ Uh. What do people do in the library. They're not exactly the best people to think of that, huh. ]
Well.. read? Or work? [ He may be thinking of Roland with the latter. ] We could try it out by making just a few with different shades of the same colour and see what they look like together before committing to it.
no subject
[ He'll reach over to the selection Inigo's been keeping on his person, shuffling through each of the sheets to find the blues. Thinking as he does- ]
Y'know what's nice too, that's the same idea? Something like...fabric flowers, with the buttons in the middle! You see them on some of the pillows or girl dresses. I wonder if those would pop out too, on a wall?
[ Well- he huffs. ] We'd need some first. These are the kind of projects you could just go in a shop to start.
[ Maybe Tidus just wants to mess around a lot. ]
no subject
I didn't know you were so into these creative things.
[ Or maybe it's just that Tidus can get enthusiastic about most things? Inigo always figured he was more the active type, with his love of sports and all.. Not that he's complaining. It's kind of nice to think about these things together. ]
But if you like the idea of fabric flowers, we could try out making those to see how it'd look. [ A beat. ] You know.
If we could get fabric.. from somewhere..
[ Hint, hint.
Please ask your spider pal, bro, Inigo can't talk to her without crying. ]
no subject
--oh! ] I can buy some! Order a bunch in different patterns! [ Yeah! Hint received, Inigo! ] I might need to wait though 'til the train stop. I already got some things for Roland.
[ He's getting kinda poor.... ]
no subject
[ Should he say it? Inigo stares at Tidus for a moment, his mouth opening, then closing again. Somehow this feels like their most spectacular miscommunication to date. ]
I-- I didn't mean your points. [ Inigo figures after a few moments that he has to say it. He doesn't want Tidus to spend points for nothing! ] I meant you can.. ask. Your friend.
[ Maybe it'd help if Inigo was just direct about what he meant, rather than acting so uselessly cryptic, huh. ]
no subject
Tidus stares at Inigo blankly. ]
My friend...
[ Who...? ... ... ]
... Piccolo?
no subject
He reaches out to put his hands on the other's shoulders. ]
To be entirely honest, often I think that you're the smarter one between the two of us. But right now, you are really making me reconsider that belief.
[ Is it that hard! ]
How many friends do you have that can make clothes and all that stuff, huh? [ IS PICCOLO SOME SECRET TAILOR. ]
no subject
[ LITERALLY EARLIER IN THIS THREAD, BRO. WHY THE SQUEAMISHNESS NOW? ]
no subject
[ Was it really, Inigo. ]
It's not like I would ask you to spend your points when I have some myself! But the whole flowers thing.. that's for everyone's sake here, right? So surely she could help out a little too! [ Just. As long as it's far, far away from him. Just providing some supplies for the Greater Good. ]
no subject
I duuuunnnoooooo, [ he moans lazily. ] Going near spiders breaks me out in raaaaashes. Guess you'll have to go and see her! Oh noooooo.
[ look
right now
Inigo deserves this. ]
no subject
He would sure like to know that, since his jaw just drops at this display. At his sudden call out from his friend. How could you betray him like this, bro? How could you leave him out in the cold alone? ]
Are you making fun of me because I can't talk to girls?!
[ Do you need an actual answer, Inigo?
Is it not obvious. ]
no subject
Inigo knows what everyone means!
[ BIG BABY BIG BABY BIG BABY ALERT ]
no subject
Inigo moves his hands up to his face, rubbing his eyes. He was so not prepared for the baby tantrum. Just because Tidus is embarrassed he didn't think of the obvious answer earlier! ]
I can't believe this.
[ IS THIS WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO THROW A TANTRUM OVER, TIDUS? OF ALL THINGS? ]
Are you really upset?
