Good day, everyone! [ Inigo smiles widely. ] I was wondering if anyone either has or knows of something rare and they wouldn't mind it.. erm, losing it.. probably permanently.
[ He's saying that statement as if he's only now realising how weird that sounds out loud.
But it's too late to go back on that now. ]
In exchange for a favour?
And preferably edible? But maybe not necessarily? Hey-- [ He turns away from the screen, seeming to have some mumbled discussion.
This is a totally normal ICP message. ]

[ Aside from that, he thinks maybe he won't ask questions. Unless it's interesting. ]

[ Otherwise he would have been more clear! But the problem is that he's also been graping at straws.. ]
It just said rare things. But isn't that standard different for every individual? How do I know what's rare enough?
no subject
[ A pause. ]
Do I want to ask what you're doing?
no subject
Geez, he really ought to ask her standards-- ]
Oh. [ Inigo says, suddenly snapped out of his thoughts. ] I'm looking for food.
[ A clear answer. ]

[Rapunzel understood what rare meant, she just didn't know something she had might be considered as such since it was in fact one of a kind in her world.]
no subject
[ This would probably sound a lot less weird with the right context, yet apparently Inigo doesn't seem to think of actually providing it. ]
That's why I was wondering if it'd be better if it was something actually edible.
no subject
[If it was just, meat then any would do right?]
Couldn't you use that weird meat? Isn't that rare?
no subject
Yes, I'm fairly sure it means 'rare' as in 'hard to get' rather than the way of cooking food. [ The latter would have been a lot easier though! ]
The weird meat though.. You mean the kind we have way too much of in storage right now? In that odd bear shape? I actually tried that one, but apparently it's not rare enough.

Video, locked to the cabin Inigo's in
Nita has questions. But first, a pre-question question:]
To be clear, this is about testing if the 'item from home' feature can also pick up items that we've only encountered on the train, or from people we've met on it, am I right?
[If she's reading it wrong, that's on her.]
no subject
[ He gives Nita a very blank stare for a moment, indicating that nope, apparently that isn't it. ]
No, I.. I think you're assuming a little too much from my intelligence, Nita. [ Or lack thereof. But he jokes about it with a smile. ] I just need it for a friend, and I'm not sure I really have anything rare enough to work.
no subject
[Nita, for her part, looks quite sheepish now.]
Ah, sorry for that, then.
... I could probably come up with a few dishes I encountered in the Crossings, though do they need a description or just a name?
[In some cases, Nita only has the description.]
no subject
[ Though he appreciates her quick offer, smiling slightly. ]
I wouldn't want to waste points when they could be used to buy supplies or important other things, you know? So I need to figure out first exactly what's considered 'rare' in the first place.

... You sound like you wanna chop off a limb and cook it up. [ A certain rare fella that is not for eating, Inigo--! ]
of course this is in person, i'm not going to pass up on circus opportunities!!
[ Inigo sputters, clearly shocked by Tidus's accusation. He even reaches down to try and cover up Jumblie's.. ears?
The place where ears would be on a human being, anyway. It's probably pretty useless to try and do that to a higgledy. ]
Don't say that around her, she's sensitive! [ We all know who the most sensitive person around here is. And it's not Jumblie. ]
good
Hey, I'm the one in danger here! [ He says, putting his hands over his chest. Just for a moment.
But actually seriously- ] Y'think elixirs still count? They're hard to get where I'm from. Even if the train turned that into a joke.
[ Just gets them by the crate-full, no big deal. ]
no subject
Ah.. [ He looks surprised for a moment, like Inigo hadn't quite considered that idea yet. ] That'd be worth a try, right? I don't want to go around and order things yet until I know for sure something works..
[ And Tidus does have plenty to spare. ]
Do you have them with you right now? [ In his portable minifridge. ]

[ Because what the actual hell. ]
no subject
Huh? Is something wrong? [ Apparently he felt like his message got a lot clearer with what he added at the end there, since he almost gives Della a slightly surprised look at her words. ]
I'm just looking for rare things! Della, do you have something rare? I can trade it for.. um, hugs? Or I can do some chores for you?

[Audio] to single carriage
[What he really wants to say: Can't you go more than five seconds with sounding crazy dumb?]
inigo switching over to audio to single carriage too!!
This is a cruel crash right back to reality. His chest feels tight in an instant. ]
What's it to you? [ There's an instinctive defensive edge to it, not forgetting their last interaction. ]
no subject
[And why does it preferably need to be edible...]

Gah. I'm sorry, pup. I should have taken into account you'd want to feed Jumblie when I bought her from the store. [ Besides that - Rare Ingredients - was going to be a challenge anyway. ] In Evermore, we only ever fed the higgledies when we needed them to get stronger.
[ But it's okay, he got schooled! Feed them as friends, not just as fighting pets! They came from your heart, after all. Tied to you, protecting you. ] Let me help you get what you need, okay?
no subject
No, it's fine! [ He won't be having any sorry-s from you, mister!! Better keep those to yourself! ] I'll be able to handle it. I just need to figure out what she likes first, since the book just saying that it has to be rare is so vague.
[ Especially in a place where things from different worlds all seem to come together. ]
I'd feed her my flowers from other worlds to see if she'd consider that rare, but I would actually be kind of bummed to lose those..
no subject
To be honest, it's not that it's vague per se. [ Big brain moment. ] It's just that how it defines a Rare Ingredient is based off of what's rare in the second world. [ But there had to be a workaround right? ] Hm.
[ He turns the page. ] Then don't feed her those. Let's find this out for sure. I don't want to make your life difficult all because I didn't think things through...
[ Meanwhile, Bambosh is flaring up even though Roland isn't noticing him. Suddenly staring into the ICP, into Inigo's own eyes, like he's trying to catch that attention. How strange. ]
