Bassoon, Day 25 - All Cabins

[This is up as soon as she figures out A- she is trapped in her cabin, and B- that these still work.]

These things still work. It's not the best, but it's what we have.

I know we're trapped and the Inspectors are coming. Yes, I feel the dread as well, no, I don't know why. Yet, and it is hard to think of it as one, the upside is at least we can still use these. We should make use of it. Think of it like getting to know everyone.

I'm Eva Iden'no. I come from a world with pokemon -think hardier animals with superpowers- and I have one with me called Princess. He's a pippi - Klefairy in 'English'.

I'm in Cabin 1:C and Team Orange; the only original Orange from when people were first brought aboard.

Wait so.. do you only know how to throw knives or was that just one example of multiple ways you know how to fight with them?

[He nodded in agreement of that last statement.]

When this is over, I'd like you to take a look at what I'm designing in my lab. I'm working on a taser for them to use, but I hadn't thought about something that could be a projectile weapon. It wouldn't be hard to tweak the design.

I can do lots of things. A gentleman’s education in years past included the arts martial. I can even joust—I’m an excellent horseman. The medieval era and Renaissance were all about training small boys to kill each other, and the woman who inflicted the vampire curse upon me insisted that I receive the same education as the human children of status and means with whom I occasionally came into contact.

I am rather partial to knives, however. Both thrown and in close hand to hand combat.

I should like to see those.

Well.. it's not like they had television to entertain themselves with.

[Might as well teach small boys to kill each other? The insight into the young man's world though was interesting.]

Television is a marvelous invention. As are smart phones. I quite miss my iPhone. And my Xbox...PlayStation...Nintendo Switch...

I must say that being an independently wealthy child is quite pleasant. Except for the fact that my flat in London is in the name of my friend and business partner, as banks will not issue a mortgage to someone of my, ah, stature.

[He’s babbling at this point, but talking is helping take the edge off his panic attack.]

The struggle is real, I'm sure.

[He teases about the 'problem' with the flat.]

What sort of business were you doing?

Real estate, mostly. I still hold an ‘ancestral’ claim to a castle and a fifteenth century manor house, plus some property in London. And, ah, some other business ventures. I am a minority stake holder in a hotel and...

A strip club. Don’t ask.

[Tony's eyebrows rose with interest.]

A strip club? .. We could really use one here.

[Not that he wanted anyone in particular to strip for him exactly, but it would be nice to have some fun entertainment like that.]

If the train decides to stop off in my version of London, I'll be sure to introduce you to a vampire willing to help with that particular problem.

[He flashed the kid a grin.]

Good.

[And just like someone spotting a squirrel, Joss can see Tony get up and walk away from the ICP.]
