Voice; Request
[Ran's not sure she's comfortable with being seen for this one, as it's a subject that's touching a little deeply for her, so for the moment she just sticks to voice.]
[She pulls in a soft breath.]
I . . . need some help.
I know a lot of you have met Conan-kun. He's been here for a while. There's another girl here from my world now too -- Ai-chan. If you haven't met them yet, I hope you get to soon.
What I need help with . . . They're both seven. They're both smart -- really smart -- for their age, but. They're both seven. And not fighters. The train doesn't seem to discriminate about who it takes, and yet the missions that it sends us on are dangerous.
[A pause, wrestling with her words.]
I need them both to be safe. This past time Sera-chan and I were able to be with them. But what happens if we're not able to do that? How does their safety get guaranteed?
I need a better guarantee. Please help me figure out how to keep two kids safe so I can get them back home? I'm teaching both some simpler self-defense, and that will help, but . . . I already know it's not enough.

I do think it helps, and I'm grateful to anyone who's been willing so far. It means a lot. I'm just not sure if it's enough by itself, though, which is where I'm getting stuck. Missions -- especially battles -- can get really chaotic, and sometimes it's all everyone can do just to take care of themselves. Someone may think that Conan-kun and Ai-chan are somewhere else, being watched by someone else, and that someone else may think the same, and meanwhile they're in danger.
I almost wonder if they just always need someone with them. But I don't know if that's practical. And maybe I'm not thinking of other possibilities.
Voice
Maybe it'd be a good idea to give them a bit of training? Not just in self-defense, but also working with other people. Maybe that way, if they find themselves in a situation, they'll at least know to go to someone for help.
Voice
[Ai always seems like she'd prefer to supervise. Or observe.]
They . . . probably could use some help with that. What would you suggest?
Voice
Well, there are a few people here that might be able to help practice fighting moves. And maybe getting together with their teams to practice working together.
Voice
I won't really be teaching them fighting as much as self-defense, but trying what they learn off other people could be good. I'm also not on their teams, so I don't really have control over what they do all together, but I could probably mention it to Eva-san. She seems like she might like something like that. I only just met someone in Blue, so I'm not as sure what to do there.
But I'd think even general teamwork exercises would be helpful, just to get them to trust working with others more.

And I know a few teamwork exercises too, if you want.
