[Rapunzel was sitting on her bed with a paintbrush in hand, adding the finishing touches to a figure. For those who knew Rapunzel well enough might be able to see a painting of them as around the figured she painted a border and everyone seemed happy.

Soon she placed the brush down and looked over.]

There... I figured I would use this as an example of my work. I offered a while back to paint for those who wanted it and now I have everything I need I'll be more than happy to start that off. I am also offering lessons for those who might want to learn.

[She paused for a moment as Pascal her little chameleon friend went and patted her shoulder.]

It's not much but... If someone enjoys painting by the end of it, I guess that will be my contribution to the train, right? Not much else I can do with my hair the way it is now after all. Just let me know.

This feels a little uneven though... what can I do in return?

I'm not sure how. Lessons are meant to benefit the person learning more than it being even, right?

Wait, that's it! I can teach you something in return!

... That's what the fight club is for. Uh. Dang. I'm sure I can think of something...

It is something you can think about, though I've never actually gone to the fight club myself yet. Have you?

I sure have! Can't let myself get rusty in-between missions.

Oh really... it's meant to help people not ge5t rusty? I thought people just trained in between.

[Or in Rapunzel's case she just went with the flow really.]

It can be that too, for newbies! I already knew a lot of combat stuff before I came onto the train, you see.

What kind of combat? Though for me I actually knew nothing before coming on it beyond sneaking up behind people and knocking them out with a frying pan, which here doesn't get you that far.

Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, I practice most forms of martial arts. But in a pinch, biting and kicking works wonders.

Or a frying pan, but that can only do so much itself. Though that sounds like you are very smart to know that much self defense.

[ The compliment makes her laugh. ]

Oh, I dunno about smart... I've been adventuring almost as soon as I hatched, so learning how to defend myself was kinda something I needed to do pronto.

Still you learned a lot and still manage to maintain that knowledge. Thats still smart in some way.

Enough, you'll make me blush! ... But maybe that's what I can return-teach you, how to kick tail and defend your own!

I would like that. As I said I only know how to fight using a frying pan. That's it.

Oh, well, it's pretty old-hat... That if a wife is angry at her husband, she'll come at him with a frying pan.

That seems like a very odd joke.

I think it's a world-difference thing... although having to explain it did feel weird...

... Ah well, forget it! The important thing is our trade-off!

That's right. That is important. But no payment of sorts until the first lesson. Which should hopefully be soon.
