'Sup everyone, how's it going? Got a more fun proposal than I last time I was here. [ A grin. ]

So I've been thinking we could run some sports groups! The gym's emptier these days with the training one used for all the fighting and magic classes, and it's going to waste! I don't know all the games they have the equipment for here, but there's a few I've been practising, and I figure we can spend a few days seeing what everyone likes and setting up different times people can come in and have a go.

I got a few friends to help out show some off: volleyball, badminton, tennis. Been practising basketball too. But if there's any you know and want people to get involved with, let's do it! Let's get some partners and have fun. There's hoops and nets gathering dust here.

I'm thinking we could do something around after lunchtime for the next few days, but I'll let you guys know the times for sure later. There's instructions on the ICP too if we wanna try something new once in a while, so come and check 'em out--I can even show you a few games now!

Yes! I know how to play volleyball! And Joss showed me soccer on the computer but we never played it for real yet and do you know how to play hide go run seek kite catch?

[Maybe that counts as a game more than a sport. But it's very energetic!]

Hide go run see sky catch? Wait, what was that?

[ Tidus laughs, since wow was that a lot of words at once. Please teach this ignorant soul, Romeo!! ]

So you all got to have a kite in a different colour or at least they have to all look different so you can tell whose it is. And you got to have a ball too.

Then everyone has to hide somewhere, so you needs lots of space but you got your kite too so it's tricky. You are in two teams and you got to remember who is in your team and what colour their kite is and then you got to get the ball to your safe space for your team. But the other team try and stop you and you chase each other and if you get caught they take your kite and you have to have your kite flying all the time or you are out!

So if they spot you you got to run real fast because it makes your kite fly high and they can't grab it! You can also put glass on the string so you can cut each others kites and fight for them but I'm not allowed to play that version! [Elfnein had been very strict about that, one of the very few actual orders she had ever given him.]

So you just got to catch each other and take their kite, or take the ball and find your teammates without getting caught by anyone else! Borderlines and shinki spells are allowed as well but we can leave that bit out! [It would be cheating if he just made himself invisible after all!]

It's really fun!

....Huuuh. [ Okay. That was confusing, but he thinks. He thinks he gets it? He's making a thinking face as he digests all that. ]

So a kite's a thing that flies... and what happens if a team gets it? Can you take it back? Or are you out for good?

Oh yes! A kite is a big piece of fabric on a string and it flies high in the air! It's so much fun! And if you lose your kite you can still play, but you got to join one of your team and be with them until you can steal a kite of your own so then you got to hold hands and not let go! Because you can't not have a kite!

This is some game. [ More a standard game than a sport, but hey, fun is fun. ] I'd like to see it in action. How big's the space you usually run around? It sounds like you need places to hide. Then there's some places where you're exposed, 'cause your kite gives you away.

Well it's usually at festivals and things so a big huge place with lots of stalls and things to hide under! But anywhere outside is okay! It's more fun to play at festivals 'cause humans can't see shinki, or they just forget us real quick so we don't get into trouble.

[He grins a little sheepishly, but Tidus is a fun grown up so he won't mind knowing about some mischief.] But some of the old gods get mad if we run all around the temples and things.

[ Haha- ] Sounds like any old stiff, y'know? I bet I know the voice! Just like...

[ And let turn his head aside, cough into a fist and then put both his arms behind his back like an old person. When he turns back around, his brow is dipped low, and there's a croak to his voice. ]

Don't you go running around sacred grounds and having fun around meeee, Romeo! [ Shaking his head. ] Fuuun's noot allooowed.

[ A beat, and everything about him lightens. ]

Like that?

[ Heheh. ]

[He laughs nodded quickly.] Exactly like that!

[That was great! Tidus did really great voices! He pulls a face of his own.]

Don't you have chores to do? You shouldn't have time for mischief and noise making!

[He laughs again.]

If you have all this freee tiiime, I have some boriiing jobs for you to do!

[ Tidus breaks his sour tone, winks at the screen. ]

If they didn't spend all day worrying 'bout what everyone else's doing, they'd have more time to have fun too!

Exactly! [He sighed.] Was there lots of people like that where you come from too, mister Tidus?

Sure did! I lived on the ports close to too many old people. They were alright though--but you always had someone saying something! Can't keep their noses outta your business.

[ Heh. Tidus's tone is fond regardless. ] It was good. We weren't close or anything. But the old man I lived with...he was one of those that just looks at you, y'know? And you knew you were in trouble!

Yes I know that look! [He's actually only seen it a few times, and it was rarely at him. His goddess is twelve so didn't have a 'your in trouble' look yet.] Was the old man your boss? Did you get into trouble lots?

[Tidus is a really fun adult, but Romeo thinks he might have been a bit mischievous when he was a kid!

No, he was, uh... just the guy who looked after me. [ His mind keeps going to 'guardian' but he'd rather not. ] And he was a grouch! An okay grouch, but he'd find anything to have a problem with if you let him. You knew he'd have something to say about anything if you let him.

But I didn't care! I was taking care of myself before everything happened and I ended up here. [ He waves a hand at the 'before everything'. ]

So a bit like mister Zetta and miss Hibiki? They are grumpy all the time but they are really nice anyways.

[He nods. That makes sense. Tidus is a grown up so of course he was taking care of himself!]

Suure... maybe? Are they on the train too?

[ Or just friends of Romeo's elsewhere? ]

Mister Zetta is! Miss Hibiki was but she is gone now. [He looks sad about that for a moment, but then punches the air. Spirits up!]

Mister Zetta is the grumpy book. He's nice though, when he remembers how to be a good friend.

[ Ahh, he lost a friend. Tidus won't say anything, not now maybe, but he smiles Romeo's spirit. ]

Ohhh yeah, I think I've seen him around...really loud and red? He was on the Red Team when I was there. A bunch of...blue things following him?

[ Wait, didn't they hang out in the garden too... ]

Yes he's on the red team and those are his prinnies! They are all really nice even if they are a bit weird and do whatever he says even when he is being bad! [He sighs.

He really truly believes Zetta can be good! He believes it in his heart!]

What kinda bad? I didn't really see him do a lot that mission 'til he got mad. [ Then he went overboard. For a book.

...oh yeah, they're talking about a living book... ]

He just forgets about teamwork sometimes! Then he gets mad! And tries to conquer things!

[He sighs.] You just got to remind him about teamwork a lot.

What is he, a uh, ex-villain trying to turn a new page constantly, keeps getting distracted by an innate urge to take over the world?

[ Constantly. And he's got a lot of pages to do that with. ]

Yes! [He even sort of gets the book joke, and grins through the screen.]

He just needs all of our help, to keep reminding him about friendship!

Well if I see him getting up to no good, I'll tell him that Romeo'll be disappointed. And that he's gotta remember about friendship-- and teamwork!

Thank you mister Tidus! [He grins] That will be a big help!
