'Sup everyone, how's it going? Got a more fun proposal than I last time I was here. [ A grin. ]

So I've been thinking we could run some sports groups! The gym's emptier these days with the training one used for all the fighting and magic classes, and it's going to waste! I don't know all the games they have the equipment for here, but there's a few I've been practising, and I figure we can spend a few days seeing what everyone likes and setting up different times people can come in and have a go.

I got a few friends to help out show some off: volleyball, badminton, tennis. Been practising basketball too. But if there's any you know and want people to get involved with, let's do it! Let's get some partners and have fun. There's hoops and nets gathering dust here.

I'm thinking we could do something around after lunchtime for the next few days, but I'll let you guys know the times for sure later. There's instructions on the ICP too if we wanna try something new once in a while, so come and check 'em out--I can even show you a few games now!

Until it's wiped straight off his face in an instant. ]

Wait-- What?! But I don't even know all of those sports yet!

[ Oh wow look, Tidus is grinning all the more happily! Funny that. ]

Then I'll teach you! We'll learn together! We've got a sports captain of fifty different games onboard! [ well not fifty but- ] It'll be fun!

What else you got to do?

[ Inigo isn't so sure it'll be fun, considering his life is at stake here.. But on the other hand, Tidus did use the magical world. 'Together'. Inigo loves doing anything as long as it's together, so.. ]

I.. I guess nothing.

[ STILL SOUNDS A LITTLE OVERWHELMED BY ALL OF THIS THOUGH. But okay. If Tidus wants it, then it'll happen. ]

I'm just surprised! Surely you could have found other people on the train who actually know those sports! Then you wouldn't have to go through the trouble of teaching someone before they can help you show it off. [ Unless.. Tidus wanted to spend time with him? n///n ]

But I'm a newbie too, so what's it matter? [ It's easy to be casual about this, to dismiss all that. There wasn't much different about him and Inigo in his mind--he's just had a few more games and practice than the guy. ]

What if there was no one else around to show it? So, you need people willing to start and help people get the hang of it. It's a group effort. You don't need to be the best or an expert--you just have to be willing to do your best, and keep it up.

[ It was important when learning anything new, after all. And of course, there was something else important: ]

And I have fun when we play. [ Duh. Why wouldn't he want Inigo around?

But then, a beat. ] Don't you?

[ Why does Tidus have to pull out the critical hits here, huh? How could Inigo ever say no when Tidus says they have fun when they play? ]

I do too..

[ Tidus may have said it casually, but there's something definitely softer about Inigo's voice as he says it. He can already feel the blush that threatens to creep up on his face.. ]

[ But nope, nuh-uh! Not today, Satan! He sucks in a breath, mustering up his fake bravado. ]

So I suppose you're right. Let's start with something you don't know very well though! [ Before there's a repeat of the shuttlecock incident.. ] Unless you're worried that I might just surpass to you become the Ultimate Master of Sports, that is!

[ That gets a bright laugh out of Inigo. Bit of a mood switch there, but hey, that's okay. ]

Why don't you, huh? You're letting me win too easy by not trying! But alright then, I know a game--soccer! A kid wants to play it. I think it needs a few people, so we'll need to work somethin' out.

Taiki did show me how to play it a while back, but it was back on Gyueran. That fine with you?

Oh, of course that's fine with me. If you want to be a huge cheater who's got an advantage, that is!

[ Inigo's tone makes it clear he doesn't actually mind. In fact, he doesn't even sound ridiculously whiny the way he does when he's complaining about Tidus or something Tidus is saying - he's still grinning, like he's just poking fun. ]

[ OH, that pushes his competitive button...!

But before he decides to change the sport, he huffs. ]

My bad, I thought you'd appreciate getting to ask Taiki to play some one on one games with you in private! Just the two of you spending some alone time?

[ Although it fades as soon as it appears, Inigo's cheeks definitely coloured for a moment there-- ]

Wha-- I.. Of course I would enjoy spending time with Taiki!

[ Wait. ] Are you trying to use my fondness of Taiki against me right now?!

[ Is he? It feels like he is. This is so hard to tell. Or wait yet again-- ]

Or do you think I don't enjoy spending time with both you and Taiki at the same time? Because I do enjoy it!

Yeahhh, but just think! If Taiki knows how to play it, and he taught me--there's no advantage! Except you get to sweep him away for some alone time.

You don't want that?

[ His tone sounds like he might be suggesting something, but perish the thought, this is a completely innocent idea.

~~eyebrow waggle~~ ]

.. Of course.

[ Inigo's tone is so plain. As if Tidus's tone is going about twenty miles over his head. Even the way he looked so flustered a moment ago slowly disappears rather than intensifies. ]

I'd always want to spend time with Taiki.. he's really important to me. [ #nohomo ]

[ yeahh yeahh HE'S GOT YOUR NUMBER, PAL! ]

I can tell. [ And as much as he wants to, he won't say anything more than that. ] So think about how you and him will make a great team! I guess he still won't be up for kicking around a ball yet, but it's something for the future, huh?

[ For better or worse, exactly because Tidus says nothing more, Inigo has exactly zero idea of what's going through the other's mind. ]

That's true. He most likely won't be in any shape to participate with these sports groups initially, huh..? [ Judging by in how rough of a shape Taiki has been since the mission. And even once he can walk around again, Inigo still wouldn't want to subject the poor guy to something intense like sports right away. ] That's okay though. I can wait for him.

Maybe in the meantime I'll have to settle for being a team with you.

[ It sounds like he's trying to poke fun at Tidus, but.. at the same time there's a weird undercurrent of excitement in his voice - because Inigo can't control that like the dweeb he is - totally ruining the teasing. ]

[ Well, that's alright...! Plenty of time to get these two alone and bond and hold hands or whatever.

But Inigo gets a smile out of Tidus all the same, a light laugh as he jests- ]

Me? I thought I was the guy you wanted to take out. What happened to me having the unfair advantage?

Well, I need to be a team with someone, right?

[ Like one of his best buds! He grins happily. ]

Besides, I'm not going to mind you having an unfair advantage as long as you're on my side. That just means we'll beat everyone else! We'll be unstoppable!

[ What a change. Now they're a team? But Tidus can't argue with that, just shaking his head some. ]

Well, alriiight... [ Hah. ] We'll teach each other then! But you gotta be serious, you know! And I'll be working hard too!

[ With that said- ] Why don't you come down now if you're so excited?

[ He huffs, as if Tidus has just gravely offended him. ]

I'm always serious! [ Nice joke. ] In fact, I'll prove to you just how excited I am by being there before you even realise it! Don't look, I'm behind you right now!

[ He hasn't moved yet, obviously. Though he does quickly run off after he says that, only to return to the screen about ten seconds later, grumbling as he realises he forgot to take out his ticket. Then the broadcast ends.

.. He'll probably be there in a minute or two. ]
