Action

[Zelda emerges from the cinema nursing a mild headache and quietly vowing to avoid the genre of comedy in the future. Clearly, some ideas don't translate well, no matter how positive the reviews were.

(She's also completely unsure of why the characters were all complaining about the size of their suites of chambers; the main room alone was larger than most peoples' homes in Kakariko.)

A cup of tea sounds lovely right now, and it would be nothing to fix herself one before she turns in for the night. But as she approaches the dining room, it seems unusually loud for this hour- and when she opens the door half the train seems to be inside, many clearly distressed.

Her heart sinks. She's seen looks like that before.

There's no point in asking whether something is going on; that much is obvious. Zelda bites her lip, thinking, then takes a quick look around to find the nearest person who seems willing to talk.]

What happened? [She asks in a low voice.]

[Lea's sighs tiredly.]

Someone discovered who A-Qing's killer was, and decided to take it upon themselves to magically punish him. And they broadcast both the punishment and what looked like footage of the original murder for the whole train to see.

Needless to say, it scared and upset a lot of people, especially the kids.

Goddesses.

[Her hand rises to cover her mouth.]

I don't know what's worse, the callousness or the foolishness. The whole train saw this?

Most people who weren't already asleep or not near an ICP when it happened. So most of the train, at least. And those who didn't see it'll probably find out about it.

It's just... a bad situation all around. Especially since the person who did the punishing might not have had a choice in the matter; I don't know the details, but apparently they're the host for some sort of spirit, and we're not sure who was in control of the person's body at the time.

You mean they're possessed?

[That does seem like the sort of thing the train should have sensed....

Of course, what could they do about it? It was possible to banish a spirit from an unwilling body, yes, but would it work, to apply techniques from one world to the denizens of another?]

From what I understand, it's more complicated than a straight up possession. You want details, you'll probably have to ask Kaiba, though; the spirit is apparently from his world, and he seems to know a bit about it.

For now, though, priority is helping everyone settle down, especially the kids. There's hot cocoa if you want it, and I think someone made a bit of food too.
