Sooooo, not being able to talk to most of the train that day sucked, huh? I don't know what to think about any of that, but since we can talk to each other now, I was thinking: How about we share where we're from, and see who's from worlds like ours?

And who speaks the same languages too! An actual list be better if that ever happens again, but for now, tell us about the kind of place you're from, what makes home home to you! You got kings or dragons? Machines? Portals to other worlds? Talking sea life? You just trying to get through school?

I'll go first to give you guys an idea, but share whatever you feel like!

[ That gets a small chuckle out of Tidus. ]

"Yo, hiya there. So did you two come here together?" [ he asks the talking staff since...right there! ]

[najaran]

"No," [the staff answered.]

"I arrived without him, but then he showed up later in a trunk with my belt and some cards. It was very odd. I think Gremlin did something when I was trying to shop."

[blitzcheer]

"Huh, that another friend of yours?" [ But now, that makes Tidus wonder, regarding the staff again. ] "Do you remember what happened before you showed up in the trunk? We don't remember how we show up on the platform, right?"

[ That he says to Najaran, a reason for why he asks. Was there anything her woody friend noticed before he was shoved in a trunk? ]

[najaran]

"Yeah, Gremlin has been with me the whole time like Knight and the others!"

[Goligan's mustache curled and reached up to scratch his bald head as he thought] "Last I recall before finding myself in a dark small space I was with Najaran in our own world with her Master."

[Najaran nodded.] "His clothing didn't change, because he doesn't have any, but he and I remember the same last thing before arriving."

[blitzcheer]

"Weird! Well, that's too bad. It'd be great to have some kinda clue how we all get here."

[ Other than the whole walking onto the train willingly part. ]

[najaran]

"And how and why they changed our clothes."

[blitzcheer]

"And what they did with our actual clothes."

[najaran]

"I got my belt back in one of the boxes that had Goligan.... Maybe we'll get the rest back in exchange for points? I'm more concerned about my cards, tough..."

[blitzcheer]

"Cards? You said they summon or something, didn't you? Can you ask for those back too?"

[najaran]

"I got two of them back so far. Not the two I was trying for, but they're useful cards."


"Cards she is not allowed to use," [Goligan put in sharply.]

[blitzcheer]

[ Whoa, someone's card usage is being monitored! ]

"Well, you can keep trying, right? Sounds like I'll have to be careful what I order if it comes back random. But there was nothing wrong with the cards you got back?"

...if she was allowed to check.

[najaran]

"Well they're both Spell Cards so I'm not sure. They look fine though."

[blitzcheer]

"Then I guess, good luck getting the rest of them! And getting more of your friends like gramps there."

[ ...Goligan. He's talking about Goligan. ]

[najaran]

[That mustache bristled as the staff sputtered.]


[Najaran winced, but clearly misunderstood.] "Um... if my Master shows up you probably shouldn't call him that. He might get angry."

[blitzcheer]

[ Get used to it, staff gramps!! But Tidus laughs lightly. ]

"Sure, some people 'round here get huffy about that, huh. Must be a different world thing!"

[ ...he's already had one sour reaction over it, and it wasn't even the guy he was calling gramps! ]

"Well I kind of tried to tell people he was my grandfather when I thought he was doing something he shouldn't and it didn't go over so well... also it turns out he's like super powerful as a leader and not justified as a Cepter."

"Wait, so he's like the leader of where you're from or something? ...and he doesn't like people knowing you're his gramps?"

[ Huh?? Weird? ]

"Oh dear, Najaran..."

[She winced and rubbed the back of her head.] "Ah... Um... well I kind of didn't know he was the leader of that Island place where we were taken, and so I was trying to make an excuse for him so he wouldn't be in trouble. He isn't actual my grandfather. He's my Master."

[blitzcheer]

"Ohhhh." [ Okay, that makes some sense. Kinda. ] "You din't know him that long then? Unless he's a leader who's been missing for a while."

[ Which wow, it already sounds like a story and a half, whatever was going on. ]

[najaran]

"I've known him most of my life actually," [she mumbled.] "He just goes away on trips sometimes and doesn't tell me where is all..."

[blitzcheer]

"Wow, he really put some effort keeping it secret from you, didn't he?" [ Tch. Old men!] "I had an old guy like that in my life too. Told me what to do but didn't tell me nothin'!"

[najaran]

[Well now she looks depressed.] "Yeah... guess so..."

[blitzcheer]

[ Old men are depressing, to be fair. ]

"Ah, don't let them get you down. If they wanna be mysterious, let them! You've still got your own life."

[najaran]

"I guess... but he's my Master. When I go back home..." [She gave a dejected little shrug.]


"When we go back home, we have far too much to do to worry about being depressed and moping, Najaran," [Goligan pointed out.]

[She sighed.] "You're right... I know..."
