Sooooo, not being able to talk to most of the train that day sucked, huh? I don't know what to think about any of that, but since we can talk to each other now, I was thinking: How about we share where we're from, and see who's from worlds like ours?

And who speaks the same languages too! An actual list be better if that ever happens again, but for now, tell us about the kind of place you're from, what makes home home to you! You got kings or dragons? Machines? Portals to other worlds? Talking sea life? You just trying to get through school?

I'll go first to give you guys an idea, but share whatever you feel like!

Earth's a really popular name for worlds! [ This is what Tidus is getting out of this 'let's talk about our worlds' session. ] I'm getting the idea a lot of the planets out there aren't really as unique as you'd think.

It seems to be the case, but with various differences and in some cases time periods.

So each one is unique in that aspect even if they are all essentially called earth. I mean in my world what I have to deal with is not something that I've seen in any other for example.

Well, there's some stuff that isn't that strange to me 'bout what you said, but... I'm just talking about same names, a bunch of humans and human-looking people around. And some animals too. You know? Like that.

Yeah, but that's not a bad thing either. It just means we have something in common, which I think is pretty amazing.

Sure! Doesn't really bother me if there's twenty earths or five. It's interesting, thinking about what's out there.

Makes me wonder if I'd wanna travel if I had the choice. Well, a different travelling than what we're doing now.

I assume you mean if you had the choice to be able to travel would you? Because that's a good question to ask really.

Myself, I think if I was able to once I've done what I needed back home, I would perhaps consider it.

Yeah, like maybe a different world? Getting to see how other people live, how their cities and villages look.

Or would you be more an outdoors guy?

I am a traveler of sorts, so I guess you could say I am an outdoors type.

But exploring other worlds for me, is also interesting because you might also come across strange places too.

You could be a fighter for hire, wherever you go! Knowing you, you'd wake up in the middle of nowhere and start doing push-ups, no excuses.

Actually, I would be a performer. A clown to be exact.

[He figured that would surprise him at least.]

Wha, huh? A clown? Really?

Yes, before I joined the war...five years before that I traveled with mana as a performer. So I learned a good number of tricks that I could use in performances.

[Even if at the time he couldn't actually use his left hand at all.]

[ If Allen can put on performances... ]

... Can you show me sometime?

Sure, I mean it's been a while, but I still use certain aspects of what I learned in my jobs previously... So it should be that hard. Though I guess I would need to get a few things.

I can wait! But you've got me curious now. I haven't seen a lot of real life performances before.

Actually... don't know if I've seen any. 'Cept for maybe some stuff going on in Spira.

What type of stuff was in Spira?

Hmm, there were musicians, I remember. I was there to play blitzball, so I don't remember too much... I think there might've been performers in the square though. Or people doing something?

[ Ah, it's so long ago now... ] We were in the city looking for someone, so I wasn't really paying attention around me. And I don't know a lot about what Spira has for fun.

[ ... ] Well, they used to be lacking in the fun department in the past.

[ So he was told. ]

Ah, I see. So you were busy.

[he will at least not say much else on that one anyway.]

It's sad to hear they were lacking in the fun department though, even if I get why sometimes that might be.

Yeah... your world was going through a rough time too. [ Though he'll be careful not to say too much about that, on a public network. ] Spira was the same. Don't know if I ever mentioned Sin to you... but basically, one giant mess made a thousand years ago kept societies from growing too big. If they did...

[ He pulls his mouth in a frown, gives a slight tip of his head. Lets the silence and context speak for him. ]

A hidden rough time, but yeah... [Still a world-destroying one either way.]

That sounds just as awful. Only comes around if places get too big. [Deaths that shouldn't even happen in the first place really.]

And that had been going on for a thousand years.

To be honest, I don't know if anywhere had to be 'big' to be targeted by Sin. There were only two cities in Spira, everywhere else-- they were tiny. And few. You couldn't avoid the problem by spreading out.

It's hard for me to really imagine how people lived through it. I saw some of the chaos, the aftermath... but I never had to experience it like the people of Spira did.

It's hard to put yourself in another's shoes, but by seeing what happens gives you some kind of idea.

[It's why early on Allen always considered himself a destroyer who wants to save. Yes, he destroys Akuma but he saves their souls.]

It's like here we know nothing of what others have been through, but by getting to know them you'll get some idea. Though obviously there are some more closed off than others.

You have experience with that here? [ Getting to know people, their struggles. ]

Not necessarily, but I have been at least... trying.

[Trying being the correct word here.]

That a trying to get yourself out of your own shell, or trying with someone else?
