Just doing a check - how many of you can make some kind of portable healing item? Like... a potion or stimulant, or, dunno, a cake, or something that'll heal injuries quickly. Missions are getting pretty dangerous, and with it liking to split the teams up so much, I figure it'd be good to start thinking about back-up plans in case a team's healer is taken out of commission or ends up 'visiting the control coach' during mission week.

Just... gimme an idea of what you can make, and what you'd need for it, I guess. Reply to standard coach, or come and talk to me.

[ About ten minutes later, she's back: ] Just repeating something Tidus said - it'd be good to know the same for defensive supplies. Stun grenades, nets, deployable barriers. Magic or whatever else that does the same thing.

"We'll need to take over the kitchens for about 8 hours, counting time to clean, or we'll just need some very large pots and a safe place to make a couple of fires. We'll also need containers. This comes out as a salve."

"I will need a few days to grow enough of the flowers and herbs I need. Or...a few minutes of Persephone's time."

[ There's a bit of confusion in her expression, but... well, there's a little bit of a smirk, too. Maybe. ]

That's not the worst thing someone's made potions out of, not by a long shot. Might be easier than buying potions from homeworlds that have'em, too... What's the ratio like? One drink to one potion?

As in, you've healed someone before but don't know how to do it again, or..?

Magic? I don't quite understand all of the genetic mumbo jumbo of it all. You would have to ask Ignis about that. He knows more about my own family than I do.

I'd say, it's best to ask everyone else than just one guy. See what they used to protect themselves! But if there's anything people had in their worlds that could've been used to stun enemies, slow them down, or protect people? Magic, tech, whatever's handy and easy to use--

It's not bad to share about 'em with the train! People need other ways of protecting themselves than weapons.

No, I can do it again, but I'm not sure I should? It makes people very, very loud, in my head if I do it a lot. And then I get headaches, and can't sleep, because of dreams. It's weird.

Healing's no good if it makes you a target while you do it. [ Or more so than usual, anyway. ]

You got anyone you can work with to get a handle on it?

I get tired if I do too much, but I can make several at a time. If I had magic flasks and elements to draw from the environment, I could craft spells for others to use, but I haven't seen any fire, ice, or lightning deposits yet. Again, I suck at explaining, sorry...

[ Waving his hands in protest. ]

It's not exactly a target. Luke and I have been working on it, but it's slow going.

Don't worry about it. Explaining magic's always gonna be a headache, and yours sounds like there's a lot to it. [ She thinks for a moment... ]

Right. No deposits... Can you make spells from someone else's elemental magic? [ She holds up a hand, and kindles a Fire between her fingers as an example. ]

Maybe show up at gym outside of training, and we try you out on some of the smaller injuries people give themselves.
