audio: game carriage
[ It's Audio because Gwen Stacy is a mess of as-yet-undiscovered shades of red. She's embarrassed and, from her tone, just a tiny bit annoyed. At herself? At someone else? Only she knows. ]
So...I lost a bet a few days ago and a certain dickweasel named Renee won't let me forget it.
[ Oh. It's at someone else. ]
Now, I have to cash in, but since there's no actual money on the train and I don't feel like spending points on candy, this is what Renee says I have to do. I apologize in advance, but my failure in winning the bet means I have to sing for you all.
[ There's a pause and a sigh/groan from Gwen and then; ]
This is what happens when you're stuck in the wrong universe for a week and every single radio and every single person has this song playing.
[ A delay. She's not ready to embarrass herself, but she knows Renee will make it a lot worse if she doesn't. So, have one Gwen Stacy. Not only can she dance and play the drums, but she has an awesome and amazing singing voice, too. ]
Needless to say, I keep her in check
She was all bad-bad, nevertheless (yeah)
Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck (wreck)
Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck (wreck)
Needless to say, I'm keeping her in check
She was all bad-bad, nevertheless
Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck
Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck
Thinkin' in a bad way, losin' your grip
Screamin' at my face, baby, don't trip
Someone took a big L, don't know how that felt
Lookin' at you sideways, party on tilt
Ooh-ooh, some things you just can't refuse
She wanna ride me like a cruise
And I'm not tryna lose
Then you're left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're a sunflower
I think your love would be too much
Or you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're the sunflower
You're the sunflower
Every time I'm leavin' on ya
You don't make it easy, no, no
Wish I could be there for ya
Give me a reason to go
Every time I'm walkin' out
I can hear you tellin' me to turn around
Fightin' for my trust and you won't back down
Even if we gotta risk it all right now, oh
I know you're scared of the unknown (known)
You don't wanna be alone (alone)
I know I always come and go (and go)
But it's out of my control
And you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're a sunflower
I think your love would be too much
Or you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're the sunflower
You're the sunflower
[ And with that, a laugh from Gwen, followed by; ]
I hate you, Renee!
[ She does not. Not even a little bit. ]
...bitch.
[ Said very lovingly, of course. And that's that. That's the end of this audio. ]

[ Even if all she does is let him hug her until he felt better. She would be fine with whatever he needed. ]
You just let me know how I can help you, okay? It’s what I’m here for.

I want... Aunt May. [ He finally admits. ] She knows, you know? Like she was there-she went through it with me and I just-I just want to curl up my Aunt and watch really old movies.

[ And she's not offended by it. She knows that part of loving someone is knowing when they might need space, and she can guess that Peter's not looking for company on those bad nights of his. Not after something like that. ]
I've met two Aunt May's in my life, they're all pretty amazing. I'm sure yours is the best, too.
