day 14, fiddlesticks ; video from sleeper 6
Hey everyone, how you doin'? I'm Tidus. Been here around since the last stop, and I know there's gonna be another one soon, but I've been itching to ask: What did you do for fun in your worlds?
Back home, the biggest entertainment was Blitzball! Two teams goin' up against each other underwater, giving it all they've got to score the ball in the other team's goal! [ He's grinning, excited even to share that. ] That's a simple way of putting it since I can't start showing everyone how to play, and I wanna hear about your guys' fun.
So? What did you do? It doesn't have to be just sport. Did you have videogames? Arcades? Did you have fighting competitions? Draw? What do you do now? I wanna hear what people are into!
And hey, if you ever want a partner for one of the ball games they have here, hit me up! I wanna try as many as I can. Can't do it on my own though!

[ And that's it, goodbye ICP connection. Tidus is out of his cabin and high-tailing it to the cinema, which luckily for him is just a few cars away. So it doesn't take long for the car door to open up on the appropriate end, and for Gyousou to hear from the back: ]
Yo, Saku!
[ And the young Tidus jogging down the aisle to get to the man, all eager energy by his side. ]
Show me! What is it?
[ His brain may only be half working currently. ]
action
Screens were very useful, but they took some getting used to.
But now this one was hovering over a bright, jagged title: Born to Blitz, about which were spaced eight stylised characters, six in bright orange uniforms and two in some kind of casualwear. They looked humanoid, except three appeared to be furred, with two rows of eyes extending around their heads, and the others all had pink scales and fins of some kind or another. The 'i' in Blitz was a ball.
It seemed promising. Hence, the call.
When Tidus arrived, he glanced quickly to see if Taiki was awake - he was, but barely, curled up under a blanket and Gyousou's discarded hoodie - and then moved aside. He recognised a force of nature when he saw one. ]
What do you think?

The different species of people don't get any interest from Tidus, but when he sees that title--up go his eyes, and his mouth slightly ajar widened with them, somehow finding the room to curve excitedly. ]
That-- it's a blitzball! That looks like a bltzball!
[ He's tapping the glass eagerly, where the dot of the 'i' sits, which luckily(?) doesn't actually start the movie. Though, even so- ]
Let's watch it!
[ He looks at Gyuousou not for permission, but to share in the excitement--to keep this both about them than just himself.
but also he's totally going to press play unless Gyousou wants to be a blitzball block--! ]

Let's!
[ Play was pressed under his watchful gaze, and he took enough steps backwards that he could drape himself comfortably in his seat next to Taiki without missing the establishing shots now playing across the big screen. The seat at his other side was free, but he waited to see if Tidus would even think to sit down in his excitement.
On the screen, the shot panned down to a town of pale metal and green crystal, huge domes of glass floating above a choppy storm-blue sea. A ten-eyed young humanoid, possibly one of the advertised characters, he wasn't sure, sprinted out of a smaller sphere 'home' studded with windows, yelling about how they were going to be late for 'tryouts'. Jaunty music with whistling vocals threaded through as they ran, interposed with quick flashes of larger, uniformed humanoids darting through clear water with agile purpose to the cheers of an unseen crowd. ]

But after countless blank expressions for a sport he dedicated most his life to, he wants the validation of seeing as real. That it's not just his world--his world, as much as Spira was ...and it was, wasn't it?--that loved and breathed it.
So Tidus watches, hunched forward with arms crisscrossing over his lap, transfixed. Ready to note any and all discrepancies about the game, anything unrelated to be ignored. There's a 50/50 chance if he'll even pick up any names unless they're moves. ]

Luckily so are most of the passengers, only a few days after their return to the void. Except it seems Tidus who has a terrifying amount of energy. Taiki peeks up at Tidus and Gyousou as they sit down, a wary creature gauging the threat, deciding it is safe and letting himself rest again. His eyes flicker towards the screen, wondering what it is they have found to watch.]
(OOC: Don't wait for me in turn order, I'll pop in every now and again!)
