Hey everyone, how you doin'? I'm Tidus. Been here around since the last stop, and I know there's gonna be another one soon, but I've been itching to ask: What did you do for fun in your worlds?

Back home, the biggest entertainment was Blitzball! Two teams goin' up against each other underwater, giving it all they've got to score the ball in the other team's goal! [ He's grinning, excited even to share that. ] That's a simple way of putting it since I can't start showing everyone how to play, and I wanna hear about your guys' fun.

So? What did you do? It doesn't have to be just sport. Did you have videogames? Arcades? Did you have fighting competitions? Draw? What do you do now? I wanna hear what people are into!

And hey, if you ever want a partner for one of the ball games they have here, hit me up! I wanna try as many as I can. Can't do it on my own though!

Back home we had a variety of things, but our biggest game which... was bigger than sports I am sure was Duel Monsters.

It was so big we actually had a tournament that was throughout our whole city.

[It was pretty huge and well Kaiba had his reasons for throwing that particular one, but the game was pretty huge regardless.]

Yeah? You went to it? Tell me more about it! I've never heard it before.

[ And he's missed the cards that are available in the gaming carriage because he's a loser. :( ]

Yeah. [Had a reason to as well, for someone he knew anyway.]

You mean about the tournament I just mentioned, right?

Well, the tournament and Duel Monsters. What kinda game is it? And what was the tournament like?

Duel Monsters is a card game. We're actually teaching it to people who want to learn how to play here since Kaiba managed to get a briefcase full of cards a couple weeks ago, so we can help those build decks and such.

As for the tournament, it was pretty simple. You had to duel other players if you win you got thier locator card which when you got all 6 showed you were the next stage was. You also got thier rarest card. That rule was in place for a reason.

Really? You got their card? [ Wow! ]

What was the reason?

Yes, honestly I wasn't a fan of that rule, but Kaiba put it there for a reason, or more importantly very specific cards that he wanted to get and honestly it was something I needed to go to for reasons, so I went along with it.

As I mentioned Kaiba when he set it up was doing it for a very certain trip of cards called the Egyptian God Cards. Extremely rare and powerful. That and Kaiba just really wanted to duel a friend of mine and win too but that one is a more complicated story.

[ There's a small scoff at the explanation of that rule. ]

What, but mainly this guy set up the rules 'cause he wanted some rare cards? Seriously? Who let him get away with that idea?

I can understand why. The god cards were extremely powerful and if you have all three together you'd have been pretty much near unstoppable.

[He was quite glad that they no longer are a thing really for that reason. They were a little too powerful.]

[ Pft, and there's a shrug. ]

Sounds weird to me.

[ But then, he's never played such an intense card game before. ]

So how did the tournament go for you? You enjoy it?

Well I wasn't in it much. It's... kind of hard to explain.

[At least explain that someone else in his body was the one actually dueling, only time he ever really got involved was one time in a duel where one of his friends could have died and the one time he was used in a very dark game. Not exactly the most fun.]

But it wasn't so much to have fun rather than we had something we needed to do and it was the only way to do it.

[ This is the most cagey conversation about a hobby ever he's had. ]

So what do you actually like? Nevermind what's big in your world. What's your go-to fun?

Games in general.

[He always found some way to enjoy a game for what it was minus one where the loser would lose their soul...But they had that and were never planning on unsealing that ever again.]

Games are just fun and exciting in many ways.

You've gotta be more specific than that. [ Aha. ]

What kinda games?

Considering I don't have an outright favorite kind of game. I pretty much play all typ0es. Board Game, Card Game, Video Game and with video games you have tonnes of different genres, but I have been known to enjoy a good fighting game.

We all just come from different worlds, you know? One guy was telling me he doesn't have ball games, but he and his friends would go around poking fire-breathing animals for fun.

But your world sounds pretty covered when it comes to games! You actually play all those often?

[sizedoesntmatter]

Ball games I assume you mean things like basketball and volleyball? We have those and that's probably the types of games I didn't play. Whoever was on my team would usually lose anyway.

[Just also wasn't his style of game either.]

Though poking fire breathing animals...doesn't sound that fun.

[How was that ab game?]

I did, I mean now that I graduated high school I am planning on working on and developing my own game. Still considering doing that here as well and using what I have learned from playing games as a way to help me come up with my own.

If you can do that here, I say go for it! We can always do with more ways to pass the time.

I know I'd be interested in what someone can come up with while they're stuck here.
