[Minako was at least settled since she first arrived with it having been Day 4 now. Because of that she already had things on her mind and that was things others probably were not expecting someone to want to talk about.]

So... it's not been long since I first arrived on the train and I have met many people and it made me realize there are many good looking people on the train.

So I am now going to ask. Who do you think is the cutest man or woman, boy or girl on the train and who do you think is the hottest? Like you would have a massive crush on them hot.

[ Poor Daia! He's the really modest nominee. ]

O... oh.

[Poor boy is fidgeting more.]

U-uhm... wh... what are you doing later?

[He thinks Curufin is interested, and a really big part of him doesn't want to turn down someone else's affections.]

[ Curufin smiles reassuringly at Daia. ]

I have nothing planned. Why, would you like to go get a cup of coffee with me?

[ He tends not to turn down the affections of others either. ]

[With that, Daia flushes completely red.]

I, uhm.... yes? O-okay.

[Could it really be? His first official date? He's trying so hard not to flail. But he might be visibly shaking a little. It's spouted rapidly when he speaks again.]

U-uhm... when? Where? What time?

[Wait, he already asked for when.]

[ Poor Daia! Stuck on a train with a number of guys who think Daia's cute. XD ]

In the Dining Coach, I guess. We can go into the kitchen and get ourselves some cups of coffee first. Yeah, how about right after we're both finished commenting here? [ Kindly smile. ]

O-okay, sounds good. [Daia can't help but smile.] I'll see you soon, then.

[ ACTION ]

Daia does his best to dress up, though there isn't much offered with cargo pants and tops. But he definitely makes sure his neck ribbon is tied perfectly in a bow, and making sure not a hair is out of place before rushing to the kitchen.

And rushing he is, running as fast as he can, trying not to crash into others along the way. Someone might like him, someone might like him, someone might like him. It's such a wonderful thought, making him burst with energy.

At the door to the car, he stops, doubling over to catch his breath. He straightens his hair and bow one more time, takes a deep breath, and opens the door, looking around for the Elf.

Curufin is waiting in the Dining Coach, wearing the outfit that Tony gave him as a gift, a pair of black jeans, black jean jacket, and lug-soled black lace-up boots. He's added the red shirt that Kumoko spun for him at Christmas. He has already brought a couple of cups of coffee from the kitchen and they are on the table that Curufin is sitting at. He turns and sees Daia and smiles.

"I brought the coffee. Say, you look nice. It's not everybody that can make a Voidtrecker outfit look fashionable. Come, sit down!"

Daia's jaw drops a little when he sees Curufin - his outfit looks amazing~ Not that he would wear it himself willingly. But he can definitely appreciate it on a sharp-dressed, good-looking man like Curufin.

At the compliment, Daia can't help but blush as he plays with a strand of his hair shyly.

"Th-thank you."

Doing as he's told, he settles into a seat. How does one small talk?

"Uhm... Thank you. For showing me around on my first day, and even teaching me some of the technology things on my first mission. It was very helpful. It's nice having someone as kind as you around."

He gives a bright, sincere smile.

And he's already thinking about a possible future - If Curufin likes him, he can help him out many, many more times, and they can do lots of things together. Every day might be like a mini-date.

None of this he'd admit to upfront, of course. But he definitely is thinking it.

Curufin gives Daia an appreciative look and pushes one of the cups of coffee at him. The other he picks up and sips. He's no expert at small talk either, but he compensates for that by looking confident.

"You're welcome. It was my pleasure."

Daia's bright, sincere smile is rather dazzling, even though he probably doesn't know it. Curufin already knows he'd like to see him again, and that they can find excuses for that easily. They're on the same team, so they can do chores together, and besides, the train is not immense and they'll be running into each other often. Their cabins are not far separated, 2:A and 2:C, so they'll likely be meeting by chance in the morning or at night.

Curufin can well understand Daia's reticence, as he himself doesn't reveal his thoughts about people very often. If they have a possible future, it'll be revealed in time.

Daia takes the cup of coffee, sipping it only to flinch and shudder. It's so bitter! And he didn't think to check for cream and sugar. Weh.

He glances around the table, hopeful for a solution.

As he tries to push past the awful taste on his tongue, he continues.

"U-uhm.... So.... What do you like to do, Curufin?"

How else do you get to know someone.
