"It'll be okay, no matter what. No one's mad at you for what happened, it was an accident, right?" He's not actively using his empathy now, but he does try his best to sound soothing, at least.
"I admit I'm a little curious about your crystals, but now is definitely not the time. I think I want to eat at least four peanut butter sandwiches, have some milk, and then go find my bunk. I actually feel tired for once!" He's cheerful about it all, though. It's the rewarding kind of tiredness you get from a job well done.
