[ Another month, another round of new faces. Evie's stopped hoping for familiar ones, and yet, she's just as glad to see the new train residents as if they were her friends from home. So the princess has a grin on her face as she addresses people from the device in the kitchen.

Hello, new passengers! My name is Evie Grimhilde. Welcome to the Voidtrecker Express! If you haven't noticed, all teams are given a chore for the month. If you're on the team that has food prep or meals and you're new to cooking or are unsure of what you're doing, please feel free to find me and let me know. I've been cooking for years and would love to help anyone that thinks they might need it.

Also, I'd love to learn to make a dish from wherever you're from if you'd be willing to show me. I love the fact that all of us come from different universe entirely. It's been really fun to learn about different traditions, for the most part, and I'd like to continue getting to know about the different people and different places we all come from.

I do know a couple gumbo recipes from a friend from school. His mother owns a really popular restaurant in New Orleans, but I'd love to learn another one. Thank you!

Pretty high, I like heat. But the recipe can be adapted on that end.

I don't mind spicy, but I know there are people who might not be fond of it. So maybe we can make a milder version and people can add however much heat they want to after tasting it.

I've made it both ways so fine by me. Plus easy enough to simply add hot sauce as needed.

I’m princess of a very small island.

[ Which is a prison island but she refuses to mention that. ] The first time I left there, I expected people to treat me like a princess. But I learned quickly that I had to respect the rules and ways of the different places I’ve found myself in. There was already royalty, someone in charge, and I had to respect that. I’m fine with just being Evie. It’s been a lot more fun for me than worrying about being a princess.

I never knew it was difficult being a princess... though I suppose I should have with how often you hear about them getting cursed in stories.

I don't think we are. I'm not on cooking detail this month, but I'm still going to help where I can. Especially when it comes to teaching new passengers, whether they're on cooking or not.

Might not be what you had in mind but my dad makes these insane sandwiches that uses almost every cold cut out there, can adapt it pretty easily too.

I also make a mean bacon burger.

I've made them both ways, adding bacon to the beef is hit or miss. Can also make basic Mexican food too, dad's best friend Luis was teaching me.

Baked goods aren't quite my strong-suit, but I do know how to make white bread, sourdough and chocolate chip cookies.
