Voice: Train Wide Announcement thing

[ Here is the generally excited voice of one Peter Parker! ]

Hey guys, I just ordered more books from the store thing and then I got to thinking about it and Lightning's announcement about her books being in the main car gave me an idea.

[ He takes a breath to maybe keep from talking quite so fast. ]

Basically, what if like everyone that buys books all stored them in the same car? That way we can like have a Voidtrecker Express library and people that just joined us don't have to worry about not having enough points to be able to read books.

Plus it'll take up less space in the sleeper cabins so win-win for everyone. Just need shelves, I guess.

And you're the one who thought of the idea and should take the credit for it. It's an impressive demonstration of intiative, which is a leadership quality. Don't back down from chances you get to prove yourself like that. You're a leader, take ownership of stuff like this.

I didn't say I wouldn't take credit for it, I just don't really think a library needs a lot of leadership, is all.

A librarian maybe, but even that probably isn't necessary since there's just not that many of us.

Big picture, kid. Big picture.

You have to organize who is building the shelves since you have three different people offering or you're going to get three different kind of shelves. You have others offering to purchase books for you. You need to find a way that we can identify which book is the library's vs. someone's private books. You might want a system to track which book is borrowed to whom and for how long. You have to name it, like we already discussed. And you need someone to announce when it's ready for everyone to ues.

But I don't really care about all that stuff.

I'm not gonna micromanage the shelves or even who has what book. I'm thinking more along the lines of those neighborhood libraries were if you take a book, you add a book but it's more based on an honor system.

But since I intend to get a lot of books I thought it'd easier to just put them all in a central location so everyone could enjoy them. But right now the library is like a total of four books. Eight if you count the ones I just ordered.

are there any books you'd suggest ordering next time around?

'cause see I ordered a book on advanced chemistry and physics but you can't really browse available titles and I'd really like some more chemistry books and stuff. Maybe even calculus and trig to keep up the practice, you know?

[Normally the proper response was 'thank you', but Peter actually knows him well enough that he's happier with those little terms of affection or compliments get ignored for the most part.

Tony's eyebrows rose sharply when he hears what Peter is ordering. He hadn't expected those kinds of books.]

Why don't we order some rudimentary educational books too. There are those on this train who might benefit from them. Let's see what you get from your order and then I'll purchase four others.

I just got that one book, two fiction and also another science book but that's more like, little experiments for kids.

Perhaps we should organize a demonstration of some of those experiments for kids.

Yeah, Buttercup always seems really interested when I talk to her about science and stuff, so I thought she'd enjoy some experiments.

I also got her The Princess Bride, because that's what her name makes me think of.

[ Hey, the Princess Bride is an awesome story, he's not ashamed that he likes it. He's just a little sad they can't watch the movie. ]

Well, you don't have to, Mr Stark. I'm not gonna ask you to buy books. I just wish I knew how we accumulate all these points 'cause I want like two hundred or something.

Peter, it's fine. I'll order the three books you wanted. The dictionary one though might be problematic given our language differences.

Oh yeah... good point. I guess I'll just have to see how she does with the first few books.
