Video: Election Results
[ooc: Sorry this was supposed to go up yesterday.]
Please welcome with me our new council! We had a three way tie for our last two spots, so we're going to have twelve members.
These individuals are: Bucky, Curufin, Eva, Feanor, Kaiba, Nerdanel, Nita, Sarai, Yuffie, Ignis, The Doctor, and myself.
Congratulations and we'll have to come up with a good time for our first meeting soon.

Hey, Reigen. Sorry you didn't make the council. I was hoping you would.

[Edge has a positive opinion of Reigen, surprising as that might be. But this is just more evidence of the problems.]
[He doesn't fold his arms as he leans up against the door frame. Not because he isn't feeling confrontational, but because he wants his hands free. Just in case.]
no subject
[Ok, serious mode now. Reigen folds his arms and looks over both of them.] Now then, fellas. This is what, the second time you two have gotten into it? I know you both have pretty different styles of leadership and all, but it's a bit much to be at each other's throats about it. What can we do to keep you guys from actually punching each other in the face one day?
no subject
Yeah, sometime you're going to have to clue me in on what's up with this orange team takeover.
[He wasn't seriously worried about it. The people selected were good ones no matter what team they were on.]
I believe we solved it relatively well when Edge agreed to lay off Peter.
[He looked at Edge.]
After this conversation I'm going to talk to him about what he said to instigate this.

I mean that if I didn't feel that way, then I wouldn't have hesitated earlier when you tried to call me out to the gym.
[He'll wager his scarf that Stark will claim it was for the purposes of discussion, and that a throwdown was never on his mind.]

When you act like an ass, sometimes you get your ass kicked. I don't react well to people attacking those under my care.
[However, they'd managed to keep talking long enough that Tony had stopped reacting like an angry bear standing over his hurt cub.]
Since we're both stuck here on the train, it might be a good idea to establish some kind of truce or agreement to maintain the peace.

[Edge shrugs again.]
But don't worry. I've agreed to compromise my morals for the sake of coexistence here, so this should be the end of it. The child won't hear from me again, no matter his behavior.
no subject
[He would be addressing Peter's behavior later.]
Which morals do you see as having been compromised here?
no subject
[Better be clearer.] For the sake of peaceful coexistence, I'll refrain from answering that. I'm bending my principles, let's leave it there. As people keep screaming, this isn't my world.
no subject
Very well.
[He looks to Reigen.]
Anything else we can do to make this productive?
no subject
Teenagers are going to say stupid shit all the time, Edge, it's kind of a part of growing up. You're probably saving yourself a huge headache letting Peter's family deal with his behavior instead.
[Honestly, any time he's argued with a teenager has gone poorly. Pissing Mob off was still one of the worst things he's done--anyway, back to the issue at hand, because Reigen still isn't completely satisfied.]
Compromising sounds good, but we should be clear on what we're compromising on. Edge, I know personal accountability and trusting the people you lead are important to you. Where do you feel like those are being compromised? Besides having to treat Peter like a child, since...kids probably grow up faster where you're from, right?
no subject
[The rest of it? He really is trying not to get into that for the sake of maintaining the peace. But since Reigan insists on pushing and he doesn't think this alone is enough of a dodge, he thinks quickly for something else to offer up that sounds like an answer without touching the true meat of the matter.]
I'll say this much: I was always taught to own my insults and deal with what they brought, age be damned. When someone insults someone else and then follows it up by saying it isn't an insult and it's their own fault for being insulted? I consider it a moral failing not to put that straight.
[He glances sidelong at Tony again.] You, at least, know exactly what you're doing when you call someone an idiot. I can respect that much.
[Though Edge disagrees with the other man on... possibly everything, he can at least grant that they both seem to take the same attitude towards expressing that disagreement.]
no subject
You seem rather easily offended. Besides that initial calling you out that Peter did- which was wrong and again, I will talk to him about it- I don't believe he meant to insult you as much as you were saying he was. Now, he can be a moron who speaks before he thinks, but he was trying to have a discussion with you on the different government systems. That's something I'm offering here as well, but you don't seem very interested in that.
So it comes off that you want to throw a fit but not actual work toward any resolution.
no subject
[Edge waves one hand wildly, an expression of the adrenaline he'd been otherwise keeping bottled up.]
There's just so much wrong with that attitude. It's scary when people think what you've done shouldn't have the consequences it did, and it only did because someone else was at fault. It'd be bad enough coming from a normal kid, but people keep acting like kid's something special.
no subject
[Though Reigen doesn't entirely know what they were talking about. He mostly caught the tail-end of Edge calling out Peter pretty harshly and then threats of asskicking from Tony.]
That's probably another thing Tony can bring up when talking to Peter--obviously Edge was a bit too harsh in some of what he said, but...well, it didn't exactly come up out of nowhere.
no subject
[He looks toward Reigen and nods.]
I'd advice you ignore him and I'll tell him to leave you alone.
