[Joscelin appears on screen the day after the aborted mission, looking far better now that Misa’s cured his black eye. All that remains is some faint, yellowish bruising on his cheekbone and a healed cut on his lower lip. His glasses are another story entirely. They were completely destroyed in the takeoff, and he’s not wearing them. He holds them up to the screen: they’ve snapped into two at the nosepiece, and one lens is a spiderweb of broken glass.]

I need someone to fix these.

I appreciate that, thank you. They’re bothersome things, but it seems that I cannot live without them unless I can get my hands on some contact lenses.

...I'd be scared to try to recreate that to the right specifications but I can fix the glasses at least. Where are you?

Glasses are fine. I’m in the dining car.

[Piccolo went straight there without further responding on the ICP. Joscelin wasn't hard to find in the open space of the dining car and Piccolo headed straight for him. He sat down across from the boy.]

Let me see the glasses.

[Never the socialite, Piccolo.]

[Joscelin pulls the pieces out of his pocket. As he does so, the spiderwebbed left lens pops completely out of the frame and shatters on the table.]

...Ah, well. As you can see, the glasses took the brunt of my collision with the luggage rack.

Better it than you. [The Namekian said as he swept the pieces towards him.] Don't worry about it. It won't make a difference.

[Piccolo simply needed all the pieces. He took the two broken frame parts from Joscelin once he'd swept the glass over towards himself and set them next to the pile of glass.]

Just give me a moment.

Very true.

[He leans back, curiously watching the not-so-Jolly Green Giant at work.]

[There was a short moment of concentration and then a brief flash of light, not quite blinding but enough to make one squint and also enough to completely obscure the pieces. When it was gone the glasses were simply whole again as if by, well, magic.]

There.

[Simple enough even for the largely warrior type Namekian. Piccolo gently slid the glasses back towards Joscelin.]

All set.

[That was...fast. Joscelin takes the glasses and examines them, trying to figure out what kind of magic that had been. He’s familiar with witches, having fought them for most of his incredibly long life, but he’d never really taken the time to study their abilities before. Well, maybe now is a good time to start.]

Thank you. How did you do this, if I may ask? What kind of spell was it?

[Unfortunately for Joscelin, now might not have been the greatest time to start studying magic. Piccolo wasn't the best person to ask about it. His expression turned the slightest shade of ashamed. However, he still tried to answer as best he could.]

Ah, I don't know any names of spells. I do know there are various types but I'm not an expert. Dende was good with healing magic. Kami could use teleportation magic. I...have created material objects in the past, so I assume it was something along those lines. ...Magic Materialization, I guess?

[He cleared his throat.] My magic just comes naturally to me. I don't think about it.

[In fact, he often forgot to use it at all other than to remake his destroyed clothes on occasion.]
