[Taiki is sat on the bench in the small cabin, looking straight at the camera with a very serious expression. Despite the fact that speaking to so many people, even over a video is a terrifying concept and despite the cloud of sadness that still clings to him nothing shows on his face. He looks perfectly calm, though he doesn't smile as he begins.]

Good morning. I apologise for disturbing you all. I was handed this ballot. [He holds it up.] Unfortunately I disappeared for a little while and so I have missed any run up to this election. [At least he understands the concept of an election, even if political science wasn't exactly a subject he had paid much attention to in school.]

I am still relatively new to this train and so I don't know most of the people on this list. I don't feel I can cast a vote without knowing what the candidates stand for and so, though I apologise if it is covering ground that was covered whilst I was away, I would like to know something of each candidate.

Hullo! Very nice to meet you, I'm the Doctor but before I get in to campaining-because that's a thing I'm doing these days it seems-are you alright? Coming back suddenly seems as though it would be quite.. jarring.

[ Yeah, he can talk about his platforms and all but first and foremost he's gonna make sure others are okay. he's The Doctor after all and he's here to help and make people better. ]

There's not really any bad choices on the ballot, though, so don't worry about choosing wrong or anything. That's what multiple choices are for, you know?

I'm Seto Kaiba. I don't think we've met.

I'm new as well, but here I am regardless...so I'm playing the hand I've been dealt. My goal in running is to remind the council that we have a responsibility not only to keep each other safe in battle, but to see to it that our kids have as much of an opportunity to be themselves as possible.

I don't think many of us approve of what the train has done. There's still so much we don't know. My plan is to better organize our efforts to find answers.

And if you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

I am sorry, we've not met yet. My name is Sarai Thunderstorm. And your desires are valid--especially if you have just come back from being away, as well!

I view my being on the council as an opportunity to serve those on the train. I do not consider myself much of a true politician, though where I am from, I have rubbed elbows with such. I do not know what is best for everyone here, but I am willing to listen so that most all here can be...as content as possible, regarding the circumstances?

I want to be approachable to all, so if someone is intimidated by the thought of speaking to the council as a whole, that if the need arises, I can be an emissary, and thus can be trusted to get across what they want the council to know.

But please, if you would like to question me further, Ser Taiki, know that I am at your disposal!

I am well. As you say it is an adjustment. [He has held the facade of being perfectly fine in much tougher circumstances than this.] Thank you for your concern.

I remember. [They hadn't exchanged names though and it hadn't been the best times to meet, a nightmare and then the aftermath of another.]

I wouldn't believe anyone on such a ballot had no merits. [Bad choices were very subjective though, which was the point of such elections, people wanted different things.]

Sometimes those who don't consider themselves politicians are best at knowing how to lead others and listening is a very good start.

[He can't judge her on her level of non-intimidation. She seems pretty intimidating to him, but he's first to admit that most people are intimidating to him.]

Too many. I'm still in the process of getting to know everyone. For the most part, everyone chosen appears to be capable---far more prepared for war than the 'average' civilian child. But that doesn't mean we should send them off to war without a thought.

Sometimes I feel as if I am a very simple person, swept up by events, if that makes any sense to you. I have done the best I can do with what I have been given. I have continued to do that here, to the best of my ability! But I am a bard, so I try to cheer people up...as well as try to keep track of events...

[She would be utterly shocked to find that she's intimidating; Sarai's far more used to being overlooked by larger warriors on Hydaelyn...then again, she also uses that to her advantage...]

No one should fight, for the train or otherwise. But we have a duty to help those we are sent to assist.

Yes. [He often felt that way himself, that the events around him were bigger than he could ever be. Even if he was born to be part of such events.]

That is one of the things I do, yes. Here it has been more on an...as desired basis? [She smiles at that. Sarai does love being a bard, but has always felt it was wiser to be asked, than to simply push herself upon others.]

I'm from the first intake onto the train, and one of Orange's Leads. I was nominated because people think I'm a good leader, but al I'm doing is what any leader does back home: look after her people.

I'm also the owner of the pink fluffball known as Princess.

[He's automatically thought of a court musician but he realises he has no idea what her world is like at all and he doesn't want to assume anything.]

His journal is mostly filled with drawings, a way to fill the time when he had been well enough to sit up but not much else.

He is silent as he reads through the speeches. She must have an impressive memory and a fast hand to have written it all down.

Thank you Curufin. Um... what other worlds did you live in? [He knew a little of Curufin's world, but not so much about other worlds he might have lived in.

It was easier to focus on that than the more militaristic aspects of his speech.]
