*ahem* Good afternoon, everyone! In case you don't know, I'm Arataka Reigen, long-standing orange team member and one of the top psychics of the twenty-first century back where I'm from.

Thanks for the nomination for our train council! I know it's an important job and a lot of people are concerned about how much their thoughts are actually being listened to, but I promise that you can trust me to hear you all out. We're all stuck here together, it's only fair that we act as a team.

[Ok, serious part over. Once that last part is over, Reigen gives an...interesting hand flourish with a bright, confident smile.]

Speaking of which: if anyone has any questions or concerns about my qualifications or plans going forward, I'll gladly be taking them at this time! I hope I can inspire your confidence in me!

Just one question to start: When you say psychic, do you mean you're an illusionist? An entertainer?

Nah, nothing like that. I'm a consultant for supernatural problems, mostly those caused by curses and evil spirits.

Have you encountered such problems on the train?

Well, all the spirits that we currently have on board are good people, so I haven't had to banish anything so far. Any good space train should anti-evil spirit measures already in place.

[Is that true? He doesn't know. All Reigen can say is thank god he hasn't had to throw table salts at too many things, aside from the dream breach incident.]

What anti-evil-spirit measures would you propose?

Well, given that no one can get in or out of the train without its permission, I think there's some system in place already: my plan is to reinforce it so we don't any more dreamworld breaches like last month! I figure a few salt linings and protective charms around doors and windows can help.

Mm. I'd pair that with a solid interior physical construction, something like an inner safety bunker. But it might work. As far as magic ever does.

And on the council, you would coordinate the responses of our...magic users?

Oh, I like that! You combine those two and there's almost no chance of anything getting through. Smart kid right here!

And yeah, if people have those abilities, why not use them? We can probably keep track of who's capable of what with those surveys.

What qualifications? You said you're a psychic but that's it? What makes you a good fit as a council member?

Well, you have to deal with all kinds of people when you handle supernatural cases, living and otherwise--seriously, a guy pulled a sword on me once, and what's he up to now? Honest work at a convenience store.

I know how to diffuse personal conflicts and hear people out. Plus, there's a lot of unsolved mysteries on this train still, right? Someone has to keep track of it all, and who better than a trained psychic?

That's kind of a stretch... Why would a psychic be any better than anyone else? What do unsolved mysteries do to help protect the people on this train?

It's the efforts to solve them that do the protecting, obviously! Understanding the train takes away the fear of its power over us!

[He looks slightly confused at the notion of being better than anyone, before laughing it off.]

There's no reason I'm better than anyone just because of something like psychic powers, it's only one of my qualifications that can be put to use. Everyone has something they're skilled at, right?

Just because no one's disproven it, doesn't mean you're not actually lying.

Are you worried about me being a con artist? Because I haven't scammed anyone in my life; nearly every job I've taken on has resulted in a successful exorcism!

[Not technically a lie, just leaving out the legitimacy of the hauntings and who exactly exorcised the real ghosts.]

What kind of psychic though? There's different kinds, from telepaths to empaths to healers to Seers, etc. I won't ask how strong you are- that's rude.

Good point though. Most of my psychic power is in being able to communicate with and banish evil spirits...so I guess you could call me an exorcist.

Formal training, or learn as you go? I know back home there's a few clans around, but most exorcists learn as they go.
