Video; Day 20

So... I forgot to announce this when I got them but... I got my art set~

[She is practically jumping for joy as she steps to the side to reveal her box with the art stuff inside. There aren't a vast majority of paints at best only four, but they were hers and she was happy.]

I am soooooo excited~ to start painting with them, but then I realized I don't have anywhere to paint. back home I painted on the walls of the tower and I didn't have any space left... But I know painting on the walls here might not be such a good idea. But at the same time don't you think the train would look nicer too?

I want to know what you think? [She soon stepped back in front of the box before hurrying to grab a notebook. She had other reasons beyond letting people know she finally had paint.]

Oh! But that wasn't the reason for this whole thing... I mean it was one of the reasons, but not the most I'm important... I mean... it will lead to my next point... [She flips through her notepad, a lot of it basically had either drawings on it or writing. Soon she stopped to pause.]

I started to wonder if perhaps when I get more stuff I will set up art classes. I mean I have a lot of time on my hand and I could use that time for a class that's fun and creative~ A great way to have people draw or paint how they feel. I mean... It might not be a class to learn something useful, but I honestly think sometimes we just need a fun class and just relax.

[She smiled slightly.]

I also wanted to bring up one more thing. Inigo and I once talked about maybe having classes for those who didn't come from a world with technology or slang or just...modern day things. Does that make sense? I am sorry if it doesn't. But in order for that to happen, we'd... kind of need a teacher who actually knows that kind of thing. So if anyone is interested let me know. I just really want to learn without getting annoying and asking what it means every five minutes or something.

[She soon went to put the notepad down before putting her hands in front of herself and bowing politely.]

That's because painting isn't that difficult to do, so long as one has a paintbrush and imagination or a scene they want to paint.

Even you could paint something.

[ Inigo laughs. ]

Oh, I'm sure I could paint something! A splotch of paint, perhaps. Or a snowball. [ It's a rather self-depreciative joke, but somehow he seems to make it with good cheer all the same.. ]

I am sure there is more you could do. I have faith in that.

[Stick people are likely too.]

[ A smiling sun, maybe.. Please don't look for any level beyond that, you'll end up disappointed! ]

You have so much faith in me, milady. It strengthens my heart. [ .. That's probably his dumb dramatic way of saying he appreciates it. ] But I might opt to sit at the back during your class, just in case others don't share that faith.

[ If someone laughs at his attempt at "art", he might just cry.. ]

I think anything could potentially be art. Might not be the best to some, but even those who can draw might not have done well. They have to practice and grow. I know I wasn't that great when I was young after all.

[flatteries]

[ She's right. But some of us fear being judged by others, Rapunzel.. And by 'some of us', I really mean Inigo. Inigo is terrified. ]

The art I saw back home was always amazing. You know, those big kinds of paintings, or beautiful statues.. I don't even know what it would take for a complete beginner to get to that level.

[adropofsunlight]

A lot of time, maybe? I don't actually have the answer.

[She knew she just had to paint a lot out of the fact she sometimes didn't have much to do beyond what she taught herself or found to do. There are somethings she probably will never do again either.]

Or an exact answer anyway.

[flatteries]

It's probably one of those things you have to get started on when you're really young.

[ Which means he's already missed the boat! Not that seventeen is all that old in the grand scheme of things, but it sure is to someone who's from a world where the average life expectancy is.. not that high. ]

But it's quite alright! [ He smiles, not wanting to seem bummed in front of her or end up bumming her out. ] We all have our own talents, right? For example, I am extremely charming.

[ In your dreams, maybe, Inigo. ]

Maybe. But you never know unless one tries at least.

[She found herself nodding for a moment.]

I am sure the person you like finds you charming, right?

[She remembered that conversation, so she wondered if he had actually told that person yet.]

Though I am assuming that you told them.

[flatteries]

[ Inigo keeps smiling, but his cheeks are definitely turning such a bright red as he stares for a moment before replying.

His smile is turning a bit more dopey too. The clear image of a lovestruck fool. ]

.. I did. And, uh.. [ How to best sum this up? ] .. Well, he's my boyfriend now.

[adropofsunlight]

[He clapped her hands together happily.]

That's great~ Congrats.

[flatteries]

[ Maybe some people might find it slightly embarrassing to get that kind of reaction, Inigo just seems to bask in it for a moment before he continues. ]

You were right. I just.. had to tell him. I wish I could've done so earlier instead of being so nervous all the time.

I consider you being nervous as part of your charm and I guess something as big as confessing might be serving too... I don't actually know.

[As it's never happened to her yet anyway.]

[flatteries]

[ There's an odd sound coming from Inigo - it almost sounds a little like he's choking on his own spit in surprise. ]

Part of my.. charm?

[ Did someone just tell him he has charm. For real. This isn't a joke, right? ]

A-- Ah, I mean, of course I know I have plenty of charm! [ Yeah, Inigo. Sure. Okay. ] No one has ever counted nerves among my charms before though!

[adropofsunlight]

I think so, yes.

[She thought that it was charming in its own way. Some people might like that sort of thing.]

But that is just me. But I am sure others see that charm too.

[flatteries]

Rapunzel, you're far too kind.. [ He means that even beyond flattery. Because sure, it's nice that she's giving him compliments like this, but she usually is super nice even when she's not complimenting him. ]

You have plenty of charm too, you know? I wouldn't be surprised if half of the guys my age on the train were pining after you!

I don't think that is the case.

[Nit that she really focused on that subject. More just wanting to be kind and help others if and when she was able to.]

But I am positive I have a lot of friends.

[flatteries]

Well, friends are great too.

[ He can agree on that much. ]

But you've never considered having a special somebody?

[adropofsunlight]

I mean, I never would have before. Now I'm still not that sure. If it happens it happens.

[flatteries]

[ Well, it makes sense that she wouldn't have before, considering what he knows about her situation.. ]

The world is your oyster now though! Aren't you even slightly curious? [ Inigo knows he would be! ]

The world is my oyster? The world is my food?

[Why oyster? She didn't quite understand that.]

I guess slightly curious, but not something I would actively seek out.

[flatteries]

[ Inigo pauses for a moment.

But then he laughs. Only lightly, though, he wouldn't want to make it seem like he's laughing at her! ]

No, it's.. it's an expression. Oysters can be hard to open up, right? But when you do open them, there can be a pearl inside. So it means that as long as you try, you can find so many wonderful things out there in the world.

Oh! So that's what oysters are.

[It makes perfect sense now. At least the saying did.]

Finding the nice things in the world is something I can do. Like nature or something as simple as feeling grass between your toes. You should really try it sometime. It's really nice.
