So... I forgot to announce this when I got them but... I got my art set~

[She is practically jumping for joy as she steps to the side to reveal her box with the art stuff inside. There aren't a vast majority of paints at best only four, but they were hers and she was happy.]

I am soooooo excited~ to start painting with them, but then I realized I don't have anywhere to paint. back home I painted on the walls of the tower and I didn't have any space left... But I know painting on the walls here might not be such a good idea. But at the same time don't you think the train would look nicer too?

I want to know what you think? [She soon stepped back in front of the box before hurrying to grab a notebook. She had other reasons beyond letting people know she finally had paint.]

Oh! But that wasn't the reason for this whole thing... I mean it was one of the reasons, but not the most I'm important... I mean... it will lead to my next point... [She flips through her notepad, a lot of it basically had either drawings on it or writing. Soon she stopped to pause.]

I started to wonder if perhaps when I get more stuff I will set up art classes. I mean I have a lot of time on my hand and I could use that time for a class that's fun and creative~ A great way to have people draw or paint how they feel. I mean... It might not be a class to learn something useful, but I honestly think sometimes we just need a fun class and just relax.

[She smiled slightly.]

I also wanted to bring up one more thing. Inigo and I once talked about maybe having classes for those who didn't come from a world with technology or slang or just...modern day things. Does that make sense? I am sorry if it doesn't. But in order for that to happen, we'd... kind of need a teacher who actually knows that kind of thing. So if anyone is interested let me know. I just really want to learn without getting annoying and asking what it means every five minutes or something.

[She soon went to put the notepad down before putting her hands in front of herself and bowing politely.]

Hello! I too am interested in a class for those unfamiliar with technology and...slang? Whatever that is, I'm sure I'd like to learn it too.

Art is quite enjoyable, please let me know when you start those classes as well?

My talents of use here seem to be growing flowers and chopping vegetables, as so far no one has needed a fighter, a healer, or a...an organizer.

Is...your hair glowing? I've never met anyone who also has truly golden hair before. I would love to discuss hair care with you, if you don't mind.

I never knew what slang was until a friend told me. I think he used the word cool. It's still a strange thing to say, so I might not say it unless it's necessary.

I will do. I hope it should be within the next few days to weeks. It just depends on when I can get things together.

Ah, forgive me. You have a certain radiance. So your hair does glow? I do try to keep my own muted as well. Though the flowers seem to like it. [He smiles and does glow a little.]

If I remember cool means a lighter version of cold, but the slang means awesome... Like that's cool is another way of saying that is awesome.

Not at random. Usually on purpose, though to some extent I do emit a glow most of the time. Though not usually in reverie. But it has a certain palliative effect.

You are welcome. It was something someone taught to me. So it's nice I get to pass on what I learned.

Is there a reason or it or just because of who you are?

I appreciate it. I may come to you about other words. Like...dude. Is that a title? Pejorative? I have no frame of reference for it at all.

A little bit of both, actually. When I died, I went to the Halls of Mandos, and Manwe...he's a Valar, which is the equivalent of a god, in other worlds, offered me the opportunity to be reborn. Part of this was giving me the power of a Maia, which is somewhere between a Valar and an Elf, so I could be more effective at protecting those who need it.

[Glorfindel laughs.] That makes me sound so pretentious, doesn't it? Chosen from multitudes to be special. But what I did, anyone in my place would have done, holding the line, so the people of Gondolin could escape. I was just the right elf at the right time. So I do my best to help those who need a little luck in their lives.

I had never heard dude yet. I will have to go to my source to figure that one out myself.

So you were reborn to protect? If what I am taking is correct of course. I might have missed something completely.

Basically. That is a reasonable summary. In my role as protector I have served many other functions as well, of course, but that's a fair description.

So there are more funtions?

Well, yes. I served as captain of Imladris's forces, and sometimes as a guide to the future, when it was revealed to me. I also led our forces against the forces of Darkness. After the battle ended, I would spend time in the Healing Wing, lending what gifts I had to the speedy recovery of those wounded.

So your hair heals to? Or just who you are as a person have those abilities?

[He laughs.] If my hair was the source of my power, I'd be plucked bald by now. No, the power is within me.

Mind you, my abilities as a fighter, a captain, and as a leader are due to years of training, not some gifted ability.

That makes sense. The other skills I mean.

But you'd be surprised. If it was your hair you might not necessarily be plucked bald.

That has the elements of a story to be told, I think. You have had a situation where people have coveted you solely for your hair?

No. That was more something my mother sold to me. That people wanted to use me for my hair.

That...sounds like a story. Was she very controlling?

So I've been told and I actually do believe the people who told me that's exactly what it sounded like.

I am sorry that is something you had to go through. I am very glad you are not still in that situation. Is it something you still face when you return, however?

It will be something I will have to face when I go home, but I am also sure I will be ab;le to handle it so much better and more confidently.

When do you think classes will start? I know some art, but am looking forward to learning more. Plus the idioms. Definitely need to learn idioms.

It depends on when I can get supplies, which might be a month or so.

Although...if you think any of the plants we grow might be usable for making colours, do let me know. I do have a knack for growing.

I mean there are some colors that can be made using plants. That's how my paints were made with items or things one could find out in the wild.

I can't list what ones might work though.

I am all for experimentation.
