[Danny was standing beside a bucket, filled with much more ice than water,]

So Peter nominated me for the ice bucket challenge thing. Stop me if I get this wrong, because this whole thing is new to me.

Basically I can pick between donated two teddy bears, or donating one teddy bear and dumping a bucket of ice over my head. And hey, I kind of like ice now. So I'm going for the bucket option.

[He picks up the bucket.]

Oh, and by the way. I'm nominating Daia, Trowa and Kaiba. Have fun guys.

[And with that he picks up the bucket and dumps a pile of ice over his head. Oddly, he doesn't shiver at all]

[ Kaiba's eyes narrow at the scene. Yeah, he knows your secret dude. You didn't feel a thing. ]

We're definitely on even footing there. I don't even have enough points left over for a single bear, so does that mean I have to do this twice?

[ But he's never one to back down from a challenge, so he dutifully fills a bucket. ]

Eh, I'm sure you can just IOU it. Or I saw someone offering to make them.

I really don't see how this 'raises awareness', through. With this lot, wouldn't appeals to common decency be enough for most of them? Looks like it's just an exercise in humiliation.

[ He takes a breath and hoists the bucket onto the bench beside him. After a moment of thought, he slips his hoodie off and places it over his lap. ]

One bear it is.

[ He takes a deep breath, locks his jaw, and tips it over his head---the cold is a shock to his system. He nearly drops the bucket with a yelp, but redoubles his grip and finishes, finally dropping the bucket with an exhale when it's empty.

Another shuddering breath and he peels his shirt off---it's a little better, but not much. He folds his arms over his chest, still shivering. ]

It's....likely easier if you get someone else to hold the bucket.

[Oh, hi there. Kaiba sure is shirtless and Daia gives out a very happy squeal.

Don't mind him, he's just going to go bright red for a moment and appreciate the view.]

Ah! Uhm, err, uh...

Towel! Do you need a towel? I can bring you one.

[He might be tripping over his own sentences a bit, but he's practically an excited puppy wagging his tail.]

[ He can feel his cheeks turning pink, and not necessarily from the cold. He knew from the tabloids that his good looks has often earned him admirers, but anyone who got to know him personally was soon offput by his personality. So personal attention is Very New. ]

I'd appreciate it. I'm in dining mopping up.

[ And that is indeed what Daia will find him doing, skin still pink from the ice. ]

I saw he got you too. You okay?

[Daia watches intently, curiously. Listening to the instructions and his name for nomination.

He looks over at his teddy bear that he got the day he arrived here, and he definitely doesn't want to give that up. And when Danny drenches himself, he thinks it looks easy enough.]

[It's said with boundless enthusiasm, especially since Kaiba's in it too. He does his best to get a bucket together, trying to match it to what he saw Danny with - more ice than water.

He makes sure he's proper in front of the camera, hoists the bucket, and dumps it on himself.

It's a harsh shiver, one that makes him cringe. No fair! Danny made it look so easy.

.....yyyyyep, he's definitely cold, and violently shivering. Are those tears forming in his eyes?]

I... I-I-I d-d-d-d-did i-i-i-it.... N-n-now wh-wh-wh-what...?

[How long does he have to stand like this? Help.]

Hey, uh, Daia? You have a towel over there, right? You should probably try and warm up. Do you need me to bring something over?

Oh, and you were kind of supposed to name who you were challenging first?

A... t-t-towel?

[He looks around the room, but... nope. He did not grab a towel. Uhm...

He blinks.]

I-I-I w-w-was s-s-s'posed to wh-what?

[Why would he challenge anyone? Those weren't in your rules, Danny. He figured you just nominated him for funsies. He gives a thoughtful look between shivers. Who should he challenge? Is it too late to challenge, now?]

Stay right there. I've got an extra towel in my bag.

[Danny was already running towards their room. ]

And yeah, that's the fun part of the challenge. If you do it, then you can challenge your friends to do it too."

[Why does Yugi feel nervous. Was it because Kaiba was nominated and he knows what that will mean for the other. Yes, that probably was it. 100%]

So... I don't get this whole thing. But I am going to guess those you nominate, nominate others after this, right?

[He just knows Kaiba too well to know what will happen.]

"That's the idea, I think. I did it because Peter nominated me first." A beat. "And I was really bored."

I mean, I get there isn't a whole lot to do on here, but I never thought to do that out of boredom.

But I should also prepared for the inevitable since you nominated someone I know and he will nominate me.

You can always just turn it down, right? I mean, no one hasto do it. This is just for fun.

Let me explain a bit about Kaiba. He will take anything as a challenge and because I am his rival of sorts he will expect me to do it too.

If I don't he considers himself the best. Plus, I consider it a very strange bonding experience or friendship exercise.

Oh, uh, sorry about that? [Danny hadn't really talked to Kaiba that much outside of that one battle, and certain rivalry things hadn't really come to his attention.]

No. I am happy to do it honestly. I mean... Might be freezing cold afterward, but I like to think it's a step towards positive things when it comes to Kaiba.

[Allen knew that cold was good for some things, but... this was something else and it was baffling.]

I do not see the point is doing this unless you really needed a cold shower.

I think its mostly that everyone is really bored. And its an excuse to both do something dumb for a good cause and volunteer all your friends to do the same thing. Where's the downside of that?

I admit I don't know honestly. Good causes are all well and good, but I am sure there are many other ways to do it as well.

And people who want to can go do those, while people who feel like doing something entertainingly dumb can do this.

I guess. People do have a choice in that after all.

[To be fair, he was a clown so doing dumb yet entertainingly things would be up his street.]
