Um..! I-I'm sorry, I know there have been a lot of people talking over this lately, but there's something I really wanted to say.. [ That's probably relatively less strage fright than last time, but that's since last time was a disaster, okay. She still looks a little nervous.

She pulls out her notebook, shoving off a drawing. (Except with the girl on it wearing the usual train outfit.) ]

This is my friend from back home, Mami Tomoe. She showed up here the other day. And.. um.. maybe you've already met her! O-Or you haven't! But either way, I really hope everyone here can be nice to her.. or maybe even become her friend? She's really amazing to be friends with..! Mami-san is so cool, and she's super nice, and she is smart and give great advice and she's really mature and she also makes really delicious cakes..! [ And also desperately needs friends. Hence why Madoka is on a mission. ] B--Basically.. um! Anyone who likes being friends with me.. Mami-san is all that, but even more amazingly! So please think about talking to her when you see her..!

[ She even politely bows. And manages to not hit her head this time. Good job, Madoka. ]

.. right. [ She nods. Yuki has the right idea! Though that's no surprise to her, she's sure a sweet person like him must have tons of friends and know so much about friendship! ]

And there's a whole lot of people to meet here on the train, right? There's so many people now! And luckily most people here are so sweet.

Seems like there's at least a hundred people now, but you're right, they all seem pretty nice.

[Yuki has questions about a few but he'll let it slide.]

At least a hunderd.. [ She nods. He's probably right. It seems like so many when you put it that way though! ] I remember there being so much less people when I first showed up there.

[ Which is quite some time ago now, huh. ]

Oh, that reminds me though..! Um, Yuki-san.. Could you maybe help me a little bit, if you don't mind..? All you have to do is try and keep an eye out sometimes to see if there's new people in the greenhouse who seem interested in gardening too.. I've been looking to see if there's people I can help teach, but there's only so much I can do.

[That was a lot of people in a cramped space. Even the rock garden seemed to be more crowded than he remembered..but he didn't bring that up. From the tone and words of Madoka it was true, the train had only gained passengers even though he'd noticed on the platform some people had been leaving. Those musings were cut short when she addressed him and he nodded.]

I can definitely help.

[A certain warrior he knows and is his age came to his mind.]

So we're going to add to the gardening club..? And even those that might not directly be interested in gardening could help out too.

[Like lift things.]

[ Another nod, but this one goes accompanied with a smile. ]

Yes! After all, anyone who wants to join should be able to, right? It'd be sad to leave people out.. [ She'd feel so guilty if she did that, even just by accident! ] And I-- I really trust you, Yuki-san. You seem like such a sweet person. I'm sure people would feel really reassured if they were being helped by you.

[He nodded]

Right.

[So his mind starts working on something that might help but before he can get the words out, Madoka says she trusts him and he seems like a sweet person. So he just smiles.]

[Really though she's far sweeter than he is because honestly if she saw him with other people he knew, she'd be saying something different.]

What do you think about having a sign up sheet? We could make an announcement about it or somehow get it included in the leaflets that get handed out on the platform.

Ah, well..

[ For a moment Madoka's voice trails off, and she looks slightly troubled. ]

Do you think that's a good idea..? I worry that maybe it'll feel a little bit too formal to people.. I-If they just want to try out gardening once and then maybe decide it's not for them, that'd be fine to me too.. [ Of course Madoka is worried about pressuring people. That's just how she is. ]

[Now he's confused.]

But if it's in the leaflets that they could try it or just ask one of us, do you see that as pressuring people?

[Yuki doesn't but he's willing to listen. After all he was in the student council as the president so he was definitely on board to hear her out and discuss things. In the end, this really was Madoka's gardening club after all.]

I.. I guess maybe not..

[ She's practically shrinking by the moment over here. Madoka may be able to grow quite the spine when it comes to things that actually matter, but trying to navigate the intricacies of politeness and social situations makes her so shy. ]

Eva-san is the one making the leaflets again now, right..? I guess we should ask her about it.. u-um, as long as it's actually important enough to be put on there.

[He really can't get a read on her but it looks like it's not going over well. So he listens to the part about it being put in the leaflets and Yuki shook his head.]

No it's fine. We'll just stick to your plan, it's fine.

[Upsetting Madoka will never be on his list of things to do. Like ever.]

.. okay. Thank you.

[ Sorry, Yuki, this is apparently just what it's like dealing with Madoka.. At least she doesn't seem full on upset, especially as he says that. She just nods a little. ]

Let's just keep doing our best then to make the train have as many pretty plants as possible.

[Inwardly he sighed with relief. She seemed..she just really reminded him of Kisa and Miss Honda.]

Alright, and on missions I'll make sure to look for flowers and other things.

[Like edible things, things they can grow here.]

Right! [ At least there's some energy - and maybe even a slight hint of cheer - crawling back into Madoka's voice at that. It sure is a lot easier to talk when she isn't fussing over something or another, especially since she's not really intimidated by Yuki. ]

It's too bad we couldn't do that last time around, huh..? It's like they keep sending us to places without plants.

[There was a sigh and a nod. It was hard to try and do things like that if the missions they were being sent on were barren.]

Maybe next time..I'll have to make sure to bring a backpack.
