Um..! I-I'm sorry, I know there have been a lot of people talking over this lately, but there's something I really wanted to say.. [ That's probably relatively less strage fright than last time, but that's since last time was a disaster, okay. She still looks a little nervous.

She pulls out her notebook, shoving off a drawing. (Except with the girl on it wearing the usual train outfit.) ]

This is my friend from back home, Mami Tomoe. She showed up here the other day. And.. um.. maybe you've already met her! O-Or you haven't! But either way, I really hope everyone here can be nice to her.. or maybe even become her friend? She's really amazing to be friends with..! Mami-san is so cool, and she's super nice, and she is smart and give great advice and she's really mature and she also makes really delicious cakes..! [ And also desperately needs friends. Hence why Madoka is on a mission. ] B--Basically.. um! Anyone who likes being friends with me.. Mami-san is all that, but even more amazingly! So please think about talking to her when you see her..!

[ She even politely bows. And manages to not hit her head this time. Good job, Madoka. ]

I'm sure if she's as great a person as you've described she'll have no problems making plenty of friends.

Also, she's totally smiling when she sees Piccolo replying.. Sure, he may seem a little stern and intimidating, but it seems like she got the right idea about him being a good person if he'd bother to reply to a message like this. ]

Ah.. Yes, I'm sure! But there's still a lot of people on the train by this point, right..? I just wanted to make sure her greatness wouldn't be overlooked by accident.

[Oh, no! A smile of doom! Madoka will melt his icy heart with ease with such a weapon in her arsenal.]

It's true we're getting a little crowded. Space is tight though, I'm sure we'll all meet sooner or later. [ p a u s e ] I'll keep an eye out for you two though if you want to meet that bad.

[ Even if she's confirmed that he's a nice person, it's still amazing to her that he'd actually offer that! At first Madoka looks amazed, but then she looks really happy. ]

Thank you so much, sir, that's so kind of you! I'm sure Mami-san will appreciate meeting someone as cool as you!

[Here is a very carefully controlled stoic face, Madoka. It is stoic and unresponsive because he is not certain how to react to being called "someone as cool as [him]". He thinks it's a compliment but doesn't know if that's a good thing or not.

But at least Madoka is smiling and that's a win, he thinks.]

Yeah, really.

[His ears better not be purple right now or he's going to hate himself a little for it.]

[ Piccolo would not be the first grown man to be brought to this state by compliments from Madoka, at the very least.. A small consolation.

Madoka though? She doesn't even seem to notice it. She can only see the stoic part of the way he's looking right now. ]

It means a lot to me. I should do something for you in return...

It's all right. You don't have to. You're already being nice enough.

[ It's not said with much confidence behind it though. If anything, she sounds a little bashful and meek. Madoka wants to care for others, but she's a little too shy to push it too hard. ]

O-Or are you saying your stay on the train is perfect so far, mister Piccolo? [ Surely there has to be something she can do to make it better! ]

[Piccolo has the dilemma of wanting to be stern and tell Madoka to grow a backbone for the things she truly believes in versus just wanting to coax her into feeling comfortable around him first. Still, he's starting to consider giving her some sort of lessons at some point if these interactions continue.]

I wouldn't say being here is 'perfect' even ignoring the circumstances of a forced arrival. It could be worse, or it could be better.

[Piccolo gives a soft sigh and relents, his expression going slightly softer.] Look, if you really want to do something for me... Why don't you just make your friend her favorite meal and I'll come visit and eat with the two of you. Deal?

[ Don't worry, Piccolo, once you get close enough you may start to finally see the backbone peek through.. right now she mostly just doesn't want to be rude to a new acquaintance though! ]

That sounds fine to me, of course..! [ Hope you like cake, Piccolo. ] Is there any kind of flavour of tea you prefer?

[ Because sure, if she just makes one cake then it'll be Mami's favourite, but giving everyone a different flavour of tea sure is a lot easier to do than different flavours of cake. ]

[He should have known it'd end up a tea party. No, not really, he's bad at second guessing humans and their ways. He has no idea what she's planning and will be all the more awkward for it when it comes.]

Not particularly. [At least tea was tolerable though. Flavored water he could handle. Usually.]

Then I'll try to pick something nice!

[ Yup, he's really just trapped himself in having to attend a tea party with two teenage girls.. ]

[For a moment he's not sure he should say anything else. That really was the end of it until she set up the small get-together. And it was kind of obvious he didn't have anything else to do on this train, right? Everyone was just kind of stuck here with little to nothing to do.

But. well.] You're welcome. I'll look forward to it.
